Joann is the manager here and she is very kind. She told us all about the history of the hotel. They have been in the process of making renovations and have a lot of plans for the future, however it’s currently still a tad outdated. The location is super convenient and the rooms are affordable. Check in was at 3pm and they were lax about checkout around 10-11am. Every room has access to a long shared balcony. I’d suggest they section off the balcony so each room has its own private area. On the other hand, it’s a great option for families staying in rooms next to each other who want to spend time in a group. The rooms do have air conditioners, but because of the positioning, it often blows directly on the bed. The doors have chain and doorknob locks. Each room includes a fridge, medium sized dresser, and a TV on the wall. Bathrooms are clean and have a small window, but they could upgrade their towel quality. No elevator, so stairs are the only option for second floor rooms. Ice machine is out of order, but you can ask for ice at the front desk. There is a large suite located on the second floor that seems to have a great view of the lake, would be good for a family. Additionally, there is a restaurant on the first floor, although we were so busy we didn’t get a chance to eat there. Parking is available on site and we felt our vehicles were safe at all hours. Overall has more of a cabin/motel feel than a hotel, but has everything you’d need for a stay...
Read moreThis was a very awful experience. The exterior is very nice but it is very hard to get in and out of the water. Our room did not look like it did in the picture when I booked it. There was barely enough room for the both of us. Our clean towels were on the floor, some of the curtains were down and dropped over the lamp. We had to put up ourself, there was no soap or shampoo but that didn't matter.....there was no hot water to take a shower. The balcony was dirty but they left a push broom on it. Apparently they wanted someone else to clean. The 1 ashtray on the table had so many cigarette butts in it that no more would fit. It was not cleaned all weekend. The first morning there was no coffee. I had to go to the gas station to get some. I asked the manager that evening if we could get coffee in the morning. She said yes. I went down to get some and it was colored water. I complained as I left. She was not in the office to check out so I called her room. I told her my concerns and she asked me how they could do better. I told her a refund would be great. She said she would do something for our next stay. I told her we would never be back. I never had an experience like this. It is unfortunate because the place is beautiful and it has a...
Read moreWe Stayed there a few months ago, and then again this past weekend, We noticed many improvements going on this past week during our stay.
The last time we were here there was no coffee cups by the coffee maker during our entire stay. We had to go to a party store to get coffee each morning.
The first thing we noticed this time was that There was coffee cups by the coffee pot which had fresh coffee in it. Shortly after checking in there was a problem with our toilet, the manager made it more than right for us by providing us with a different room that was actually better than the one we rented. During our stay, we noticed bushes getting trimmed that were overgrown, and the overall property being cleaned up daily this past week. This time the bedding smelled and appeared much fresher than our last visit, and we were much more at ease sleeping in the bed this time. The manager was very accessible no matter what time it was, and was very attentive to any of our needs. We are looking forward to...
