Motorcycle friendly: I was on an adventure riding a heavily loaded China bike from Phoenix to San Francisco. For some reason, the motor is still breaking in the valve seats after 8000 miles, so during this trip I was not only pushing strong headwinds but the already underpowered engine was losing compression. That morning in Phoenix, my luggage boxes had been broken into and tools stolen (including feeler gages). Google helped me find this place.

I limped into town around 9 pm, leaning into a crosswind at about a 30 degree angle. After a couple of wrong turns and several engine stalls, a call to my hosts got me back on track. They showed me to a clean comfortable bunk, I unpacked my lunch and sat down with the crew at the patio table. I had a great time trading travel stories with Anton and Marco, made my phone calls, showered, and sacked out for a great night's rest.

In the morning I had coffee. Breakfast was served, with a request for donation as I thought appropriate.

When my hosts heard my story about the valves and stolen tools, they immediately knew I needed feeler gages. They took me to the local auto parts store, set me up with a shady place to work, and brought out the bucket of tools. By 1 pm (with a little help from Rosie the Red Hen) I was back on the road, well rested and with power restored to normal.

This is a hostel, not a hotel. If you would rather stay at a friend's house (be it ever so humble) than a hotel, I...

I booked my stay just yesterday. I drove last night to the hostel. I had to call Sarah to let me know where the exact location was. The pros - the place is very clean and I had a decent private room with air conditioner. Tammy , the female staff was very accommodating and helpful . The common bathrooms were very clean .I was provided with towels and a blanket. This is good just for an overnight, sleep and get a shower. Cons- a lot of the guests that are staying there looks like they are homeless ( like it is a homeless shelter) . Mask should have been mandated as there was a guess who told me while I was in the kitchen - that he has headache, coughing and that he needs to go to the hospital. He stated that he must have caught the virus .There is no free breakfast as advertised but free coffee and eggs . I had to boil the eggs . There was s sign that “quiet time time “ between 900pm to 700 am. I came at almost 11 00pm but the guest were talking very loud specially a male guest . I could hear them even if the air conditioner was on .The light switch of the room I slept in is located on the walk near the bathroom. Someone turned on the light and I couldn’t sleep .I was checking out and looking for Tammy or John ( the manager) and a couple of the guest were by the patio . One make guest was bring fresh with me - stating “I haven’t spoken to you yet but you are leaving already !”. I just ignored the comment.I didn’t feel safe . Not a solo...

Louis is a very polite and welcoming young man and Tammy is pleasant as well. The house itself is very clean and cool in the summer time. I wasn't informed of the coffee and eggs available in the morning tho and I wish I would've been. It's a mellow respectful vibe which I liked. When I came back after kareoke I went outside to the comfortable seating area and there was a guy with his big tv hooked up playing video games. I waited awhile and then let him know politely that I was going to listen to some music. He refused to turn the sound down on his t.v. so I could also enjoy some time doing what I wanted to enjoy. That's the only thing I didn't appreciate yet that was one individual not crashpods fault. I was tired and could've insisted he turn the TV down however I chose * not to . However you can't make an individual be fair or politely courteous if they don't want to. Other than that it's really a way better alternative to hotels and oh yes I stayed in a clean, individual room with an A/C. Patio sitting area is 420 friendly as well. Kitchen available from 7-11. If I go back to visit will definitely stay here and save a bunch of $$$ and still be comfortable . Thanks crashpod. Appreciate your place. oh and I liked the chairs placed under the trees that's like a private lil outdoorsy cave nook to visit and chat if you arrive non solo 🤠 Also towels are provided...

Stayed here on February 19, 2020. I had stopped to visit family in Coachella on my way to deliver a truck to Fontana and wanted an affordable place to sleep for the night. I'm so glad I found Crashpod Hostel. Not only did I get to sleep, but I was able to re-energize myself with positivity. The area is just perfect for meditating. You have a wonderful view of the mountains, there isn't too much traffic so it's quiet. The air feels good. My daily meditation went so well. Also John is a great guy. He is on a higher level of consciousness and we had a great conversation about law of attraction, quantum physics and manifestation. Him along with another guest from Uruguay. I left there completely lifted. The only downside was there were a few flies indoors that were bothersome when trying to relax on the massage chair. Other than that spacious parking (I was able to park a 40ft box truck in there) and overall amazing stay!

I have never stayed in a hostel before, so I don't know what to expect. After this experience, I don't think I'll ever stay in one again. Here are the cons: 1) The front patio is just a complete mess. 2) Too many people slamming the front door, which rattles the whole house. 3) People were constantly snoring at night. Thank God I wore my headphones to sleep. 4) I did find a couple of roaches. 5) Someone kept stealing all my water in the fridge even though I labeled my name & put on the bottle cap ‘Don't Touch’. At this point, it's intentional & that person doesn't give a damn. 6) There are too many cons to list about this place. I'll never stay in another hostel ever again. The only reason I tolerated staying are the chickens. They have cute little, feather-legged chickens. Besides that, it wasn't for me. I'll pay more just to stay in a hotel.
