This is an excellent rustic campground. Quiet and not over crowded. Peaceful place to paddle although crooked lake itself is not very big. The launch is nice and not overgrown. Staff at the park hq are helpful and kind and the hq is open even on a Sunday which is nice. They sell firewood for a good price.
Mostly tents because it's not really set up for rigs and there's no electric. Vault toilets only. The hand pump wasn't working but I could get water at silver lake. Kind of a bummer but not a big deal. I stopped in to tell them about it and I'm sure they'll set it right soon.

Staff would also close the lids of the toilets with their dirty feet which meant that someone else had to touch that seat with their hands and not to mention the vault toilets were not properly taken care of. You'll want to have bottled water because the well water (when you could get any to pump) was as brown as the dirt itself. ...

The view is beautiful and all the campsites are arranged along the lake. There's a dock to watch the sunset over the lake, which is positioned perfectly (I imagine people also use it for fishing lol).
There's a hiking trailhead within walking distance to do the Crooked Lake loop or branch off to the Silver Lake loop as well.
Overall, perfect spacious sites for tent campers and hikers. I saw people with smaller pull-behind campers as well, so it's doable, but I think these are more prime...
