Wow! We loved it here. We came in April and it was truly a great weekend. We took our boat and explored the tiny lake (more like a pond) and then into the river. We went up the river first a ways to finish seeing the campground and to explore the upper part of the Jordan River Blueway and then down all the way into Bay St. Louis which was about 30 minutes from the campground on the water. We absolutely loved it! While there we fished some and just rode and took in the scenery. So many different types of birds and turtles along the way. Two boat launches available and easy to accesss. The park is really clean and well kept.
If you hate the sound of airplanes avoid this campground. They fly over all day everyday into the tiny airport down the road. Thankfully my kids just loved seeing and hearing them so no biggie for us
Now! For the campground! Which was equally as gorgeous. We stayed in site 44b and 45 on the lake. We would stay in those same sites again. The playground and splash pad were a huge hit for our kids and being able to ride our golf cart around was a huge plus. Will be staying again!
We ate at Dempseys seafood one night and were blow away. All the food was so good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Read moreWe stayed here in May '24 in site 130A. First off, if you want a campground that has rules but doesn't uphold a single one, this is the place! Music non-stop until 3:30am (live music, stereos AND karaoke), loud music in golfcarts at all hours, people walking right through your campsite, stepping on your hoses and crushing them, dogs running loose, 7-10 year olds racing in golfcarts causing vehicles to almost wreck. The owners of the Class A next to us weren't around, but random drunk adults and kids were trying to break into it's compartments. The young staff knew several of the groups camping and were well aware that their own friends were breaking the rules, but didn't care. Also, for site 130A, don't book that site!! There is a street light right infront of the RV with a bright LED bulb and literally attracted every termite in the dang state, not to mention it kills the whole camping vibe around a campfire when it never actually gets dark. Previously we stayed in a different site near 130A, the people before us had a crawfish boil and dumped all of the shells at the campsite. It smelled terrible in the MS heat and not to mention the ants that it attracted. If you want a non-stop weekend long party, this is your place. Do better...
Read moreWe stopped for one night mid-week in November in our RV, traveling back home to Florida. Our site, R-24, was in the section undergoing updates; very nice improvements. The section was about half full. Beware, though, the rules posted by the campground are not enforced. Quiet hours are non-existent and no one patrols the park. There is no phone number to contact staff after hours and no camp host that we saw. We had little sleep that night due to LOUD music. As we left the next morning, the picnic table a few sites from us was cluttered with empty liquor/beer bottles. No question where the party was! We attempted to contact the manager the next day by telephone to share our concerns. Gave that person a couple of weeks to contact us but heard nothing. I don't believe anyone at that park cares about the rules. Why print them? We don't...
