Wow.....if you don't have to stay here.....keep driving. This place IS pet friendly and the rooms smell very clean. The location is right off of I-95 so the location is very convenient. Rooms are decently cleaned and the ac was pretty quiet....BUT...and yes, these "buts" must be mentioned. The room we had seemed like it had recently undergone some renovations (floor tile looked relelatively new) however there were no baseboards and ALOT of stuff was in the cracks...dog hair and the such. The floor had a greasy feel so we kept our socks on not knowing what the greasy feel was.......The TV was a decent size BUT the screen was blue. The rooms have generic remotes made for hotels that can be sanitized so there were no menu button to check the settings. I went to the desk and they had remotes for that tv....took it back to the room thinking the picture settings were out of adjustment but nope....the TV was just blue......so my wife and I watched The Equalizer starring a blue Denzel Washington. We had been driving for approx. 15 hrs and was exhausted, the front desk solution was to move us to another room to solve the tv issue but we declined......so blue Denzel Washington on TV it was. We had an issue with the hotel chraging us a pet fee for our service dog. We advised the front desk in advance of our service dog, the type of dog and the service he provided but we were still charged the pet fee. The next morning I spoke to the front desk manager who eventually refunded the pet fee but asked for proof that my K9 was a service dog....I only mention this issue so that if you have a service dog and find yourself staying here, be aware they are not educated on the ADA laws pertaining to service dogs (not emotional support animals which would still fall under the pet fee requirement). If we had a choice, we would not have stayed here BUT it was labor day weekend and many hotels were full.... May the force be with you fellow...
Read moreThe location of the hotel was good for us since we were visiting people in Latta, Dillon, and Marion. This hotel has deteriorated since we last stayed here 6 years ago. They have not kept it up well at all. The carpet in the room had many stains (I had to go buy socks to wear on my feet while I walked around the room). My biggest concern was that we asked for a handicapped room since my husband is disabled. They gave us a room on the third floor - thankfully there never was a fire since he could not go down the stairs! But more importantly, we did not have a walk-in shower! It was a bathtub with a roll out seat to sit on. He could not step over the side of the tub so he did not take any shower while we were there. We cut our visit short since this was not accommodating to us. I asked at the front desk about this, but the girl who waited on us was just matter of fact, that yes, that is the shower we were given. I do not think this is acceptable with the Americans with Disabilities Act. We will not be staying...
Read moreClean organized rooms! The rooms smelled great upon entering. The floors and bathrooms are clean. The coffee pot had hair wrapped around the part where water comes out of. The staff was very nice and replaced the pot immediately. Once being out all day our key cards did not work but the staff gave us new cards and walked to the room to make sure they worked. The free breakfast buffet was your typical buffet, sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, toast, muffins, yogurt, waffles, oatmeal and grits. When in your room at night you must make sure your blinds are closed all the way because the lights out side shine out at the building instead of down into the parking lot. The pool had really strong chemicals, blonde hair turned green and eyes turned red but the water was clean, all the towels and everything was every well organized.but the chairs on the pool area were painted and the paint would stick to your skin. Overall a nice hote and would recommend staying here if you are in the area or passing through and...
