Budget Inn Express — Hotel in Douglas

I ordered the room a day in advance, she took my card to hold the room tell I got here. The day I was supposed to arrive I noticed they had charged my card already. I get to the motel and they didn't have my reservation. I said I hope so you all charged my card and I was told it wouldn't be charged tell I showed up. That was odd and she told me I had to give her my card again. I said how about you call me when you figure out what's wring. She said no I need the card up front. I proved to her I had been charged. I got in the room to drop my stuff off so it won't freeze. Get back to the room and can not get into it. Went to the front desk. She did something with the key card. Still can't get in. She came up said beating on the door won't work. I wasn't beating on the door. She unlocked it and she even had a hard time opening the door. Wouldn't stay here again. Hope I don't get...

Mediocre. It feels like the type of hotel I would have paid $69 for not that long ago. The best things about this room were the beds (very comfortable) and the price (although high, it's the lowest in town). Maybe the price issue is inflation, or maybe there's something about this community that raises prices for average hotels.)

As the name suggests, this is a budget motel. So everything is just good enough. It was clean enough. The water in the shower was hot and had good pressure. But the room has that dated, cheap feel. (As one might expect.) The two inconveniences that stood out to me were the fact that they used little, envelope packets for shampoo. (They were super inconvenient to open and not something that can be reused in any way.) And the towels are relatively small and not very absorbent. Stayed here as a last resort as all other rooms were booked in Douglas, ||Long story short we had many rooms in this hotel, some doors wouldn't stay shut, the only thing clean were the sheets (I hope they were), all rooms stunk of what we weren't sure, front Desk was rude and horribly disorganized, and lastly we had a room where the water line had burst in and the room flooded for several hours (while we were out working) they made no attempt to make things right and tried to blame us for their pipes bursting. I travel all over the US for work and personal trips and this hotel was by far one of the worst I have ever seen. would highly recommend you keep driving if this is the only place left in...
