I rented the park model, which is like a single wide trailer. It has a nice deck with a gas grill, a fire ring, and picnic table.||It has a kitchen with the bare essentials and a full bathroom. One bedroom with a full bed, fairly comfortable. The living room has a folding out futon, which my friend said was like sleeping on boards. The living room is large enough to house a blow up mattress.||The unfortunate part is, the place had an awful smell and it was very dirty. You could tell the counters in the kitchen has been wiped down but, not well. They were smeared. The sink in the bathroom had toothpaste on it, the shower has mildew on the mat, and the toilet was not clean but, there was no scrub brush or I would have cleaned it myself. A friend who is a regular camper there went to his camper and got me some cleaning stuff. I know camping, you're gonna get dirty but, I don't want to start off in someone ELSE'S dirt! camp||The campground itself is lovely. The lakes are beautiful and they have canoes and kayaks that you can rent. The lakes are stocked and no fishing licenses required since it's private property. A nice camp store. They also have a little train setup inside a barn next to the store. It's pretty cool but, very tight quarters. Only about 4 people at a time can fit in there.||There's also a little building on the other side of the store that's like a cook shack. It has a few tables in it and the lady cooking was very pleasant. Food was good and reasonably priced.||The grounds are well maintained. Golf carts are available to rent, which I find a great way to get around.||They always have lots of activities, a lot of which are geared to children. Oh, and they have a pool, which I can't comment on because it was closed for the season.||They have an activity hall and Saturday night, they had live music, line dancing, regular dancing, and everyone was having a great time. No smoking inside the building and it was a nice clean environment even for the kiddies.||Definitely a place I'd like to...

The portable bathroom look like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks and we werenin tent sites socit was are only means of a restroom unless we walked 20 mins away. Friday night we took the kids to the pool and it was so dirty and cloudy it was 98° out so we had no choice but to use it. Sat morning we got up with the intention of going to the pool and activitys by the pool all day to find out they closed the pool for cleaning witch is great but we were lead on from 10am till 630 when we found out we couldn't even use it at all so we decided to pack up and leave I think we're gonna move on from cedar lake as are annual family trip after 5 years paying over 250 for all the troubles wasn't worth it. Read moreI want to start by praising the entirety of the staff here. Throughout both booking and our stay they were fantastic. Office staff, cleaning staff, wood delivery, everyone I interacted with was pleasant and helpful.
Everything here seemed clean and well cared for, which was great. They had events going on during the weekend such as a live band, chainsaw carving, farmers market, bingo, and more. It is also a beautiful space, very nice to walk around.
Two primary cons: the roosters wake you up at 4-4:30 in the morning. This was pretty miserable as a light sleeper. We booked the BR group site because it looked (and we were told it was) secluded. The map is a bit misleading. We had the house, RVs, and other camp sites basically right on top of us. Nonetheless, the site accommodated our group and was very nice.
I probably would not bring our group back here but I would 100% bring my family to camp here in the future. Very pleasant campground with top...
