Overall review of the property and Woodland in particular. Township Rd. 416 is a very rural road. I'm talking horse and buggy mostly. However, a loud pick-up truck might come rolling by once in awhile. I say this because you need to know that the Sky & Pear cabins are right up on the roads. About 20 yards give or take. Additionally these cabins have an elevation that give them the best views of the countryside. Especially since there isn't a single tree around them. Be advised that there are one or two houses behind the Sky cabin down in the valley. Not a privacy issue but a little disconcerting. We stayed in the Woodland. $257 FOR ONE NIGHT! And no beach or ocean! Probably the most private of all the cabins except for another road. As you face the Woodland, over to the left is the the parking area and in front of that an area to have a campfire with some wood furnished. There is a stand of pines giving you privacy from another country road that is no more then about 10 yards from the cabin. More on that later. Way over to the right are the houses I mentioned that are behind the Sky cabin. With leaves on the trees you would not be able to see these but you will hear the people. We did. The front porch is quaint with a couple of rockers and a swing. As you enter the cabin you are basically in the kitchen area with the stairway to the loft to your immediate right. Farther to the right is the W&D room. The cabin was immaculate! Appliances appear to be newer. Any and every kitchen tool you will ever need is here. There is a small table with chairs. Immediately off of the kitchen area is a black couch with 2 seats. Someone could sit in the middle I guess. There is a fireplace and with the flip of a switch you have fire! Pretty cool! Here's where it is kind of weird. If you are sitting on the couch up and to the right is the TV. But you are basically looking directly at the Jacuzzi bath that does not work. Needs to be torn out and a nice sitting area established. So, the room where the Jacuzzi is, is the main bedroom. Very comfortable beds by the way. On the other side of the bed is the bathroom. There is a half bath in the loft that is very small. If you are over 6 feet, good luck up there. Right in between the TV are and the Jacuzzi is the door to the deck. the deck is good size with a very nice hot tub and some older patio furniture. Remember that road that is only 10 yards from the house? Unfortunately anyone who drives down the road can glance over and see the hot tub. My wife and I were in there when a red pick-up came by, slowed down and stopped about 50 yards down the road. We could see their brake lights from the deck. We heard some people talking and got scared. Went in the cabin, got my gun and turned off all the lights. Nothing happened but this same truck went back and forth numerous times. Some sort of privacy fence needs to be built immediately to shield people from the road!! Now the view down into the trees was nice. Squirrels and birds everywhere. However, with no leaves on the trees we were able to see a lot of trash that hat been dumped down into this ravine behind the property. Probably from those people in those houses. Needs to be cleaned up! Cinnamon rolls and bread were good as was the coffee and all the other amenities provided. You are about 12-15 minutes from just about any touristy place you could want to visit. I would stay here again with a lower price, more privacy for the hot tub, and the...

Read moreVery nicely decorated. Peaceful and pretty quiet and "almost secluded". A few more selectively placed trees in and the host could boast total privacy. There is not a lot of traffic but enough to be pretty frequent. Hot tub was nice but needs a skimmer handy. The shower was a little slippery. Would be nice to have a handbar or something for mature guests. Tub was slow to drain. I imagine due to well. The towels were not the best and small, but decent. The sheets were luscious and soft. The bed was comfortable. A cutting board would be great in kitchen. The treats in the fridge were thoughtful and yummy. The coffee beans/grinder and creamers were appreciated and tasty. It would be nice to have some fire kindling. We didn't know we needed or I missed it. Otherwise the fire pit was great. We need to get some of those comfy chairs for home. The outdoor lights are nice but would prefer manual shut off to stargaze. The "reading nook" is awesome but I would have preferred a reclinder. Such a wonderful view from the windows, but chair not great. The porch swing was another favorite spot. There is a dog kennel and a breeder nearby. I didnt catch that but it explains a lot. Lol|The cottage was very beautiful but we wished it was just a smidge more private. Very nice getaway. Super relaxing. Thank you...
