Hillside Cabin — Hotel in Dripping Springs

My husband and I were in desperate need of a break. The cabin was available to us on exactly the days we needed. We arrived on Saturday evening and absolutely fell in love with the cabin, its location and everything it offered. The cabin was pristine, all the bed and bath linens were beautiful and the furniture and appliances were modern and absolutely clean. We spent two days/nights there. We left only to go grocery shopping nearby, we loved lying on the couch near the fireplace. I loved brewing a fresh cup of coffee and sitting on the porch swing while the morning drizzle tapped on the metal roof. I'm so glad we rented this old world charming cabin for the 4th of July weekend. It isn't too far from town but you feel completely secluded from the world. We loved sitting on the porch in the evenings-just listening to the sounds of the night. The first day we arrived the A/C unit broke and had to find another place to stay that one evening. However the owner had it promptly repaired and refunded us for the the troubles. We will be back to stay here again-maybe in the winter when we can enjoy the hot tub...

We stayed at Hillside Cabin a few weeks ago. It was a really nice experience, but, while rustic and recognized as such, it was a little too rustic. The decorations need to be dusted or replaced. The cabin was wonderful in concept, but the area around the exterior and the immediate grounds needed tending to. Be prepared to make your own breakfast..
