Downes Motel — Hotel in Dublin Township

I just needed a spot to shower and a bed for the night. I'm very glad I stumbled on this place. It was built in the fifties and had much of the charm that it probably had back then. It's very basic and very clean. Mark, the owner, was pleasant when checking in. I had called ahead about an hour and he went to the room to turn the light on and start the air conditioner. My family and I stayed at the Downes Motel while visiting with family in Hustontown, PA. This is a long time family owned business and the owners take pride. It is a small older country hotel. There are no amenities, but it is VERY clean. I searched the room and could not even find a cobweb. The price was great. There was no extra charge for my small dog. For under $50....||||Large room, 2 double beds, full bathroom, minifridge, microwave, and plenty of real person sized towels (some hotels' towels are unrealistically small).||||Looked & smelled clean.
