The people working at the front were very helpful and nice. The owner was out of town but I found some sort of bug I think it was a bed bug , I could be wrong and I text the owner directly the first night we were there to let her know and told her I had kept it if she wanted to see it and ask if there was anyway we could do, have a refund for the next night that I had already paid for or at least be moved to a different room. It was late around eleven and my family was already asleep my husband had to be at work early the next morning and I figured she was asleep too so I told her she could contact me the next morning if she was asleep. I had walked down to the office with the bug in tissue ( I had killed it with my shoe) and every light was off so I didn't think anyone was in there. At 430 am the next morning she text me stating that she had never had any bed bugs and that couldn't be what it was and wanted to see the picture. I sent it to her and she sent the lady from the office to our room at 5:00 am to get it. She told me she didn't think that was a bed bug but maybe a flea and she would let me know something later on during the day. She was nice about it but I never did get any answers or any information and when I ask her if we could move to a different room she said no because if that was possibly a bed bug she wouldn't want us to take them to another room if one has gotten in our stuff. I had a couple of bites that I showed her on my neck but wasn't sure if it was that or mosquitoes but now I know it was not mosquitoes it was something else. I can't say positively what it was but all of my family had bites of the same kind on them. The owner never contacted me again and later that day I asked the lady from the front if she had found out anything and she just said no not yet. I knew I was not going to get my money back or another room even though their were other empty rooms. We left the next morning and not a word was ever said to me about any of it. I just didn't like the way the situation was handled and how no one cared how we felt and I was made to feel like I was overreacting. I pray that I have gotten everything washed and nothing has come back home with us and I understand it's not their fault if they do get them but it is their responsibility to address the issue if it does happen and I felt like I was just ignored and I tried to be very understanding and cooperative with them and was just dismissed pretty much. First, this property is not representative of the pictures. The common areas are off limits as the owner and the inn keeper use it for their own use/day care. Others here have commented to the same.

Unfortunately, this common area, as beautiful as it is, is not the unit(s) you are renting even though they are pictured in the listing. Further, most of the property and the amenities are on their "last leg" as the property is currently for sale and no improvements are being made. I imagine, at some point, this property was a "grand" experience, but that is no longer the case.

We had several issues during our stay and tried to work with the owner and VRBO to rectify. Most of the responses were just to wait it out and hope for the best; not the type of remedy I like to support.

We ended up checking out early and securing other nearby accommodations. In talking with other property owners nearby, this establishment and management have been a thorn in everyone's side for quite a long time. We are still working on getting a refund but the owner is being uncooperative.

Unfortunately we had a really bad visit that was cut short and spent 0/2 nights at this lodge. Julia offered us a new room the next morning, but we had already left the night before due to an ant infestation in the kitchen. This was the last thing we wanted to encounter on our vacation. There was also a note that the sheets didn't need to be removed from the beds after our stay, which made us concerned that the sheets may not be clean. We had to foot nearly the full cost of the bill. The host only credited us back $150, leaving us with a nearly $500 bill for a place that we didn't spend even one night at. I don't...

Julia, the owner provided me and my large (over 35 of us) family the perfect reunion location. Our stay was worry free and the kids were in love with the large space to play and the fantastic on-site pool. We rented the entire lodge and every evening for dinner the main lodge was cleaned and put back together (after family games all night). Julia is readily available and responds in a timely fashion to all requests. The rooms and bedding were spacious and comfortable. The sunsets over the ridge were picturesque and the star gazing was the best I’ve ever seen. Our experience was an A+ all around.
