Stayed July 20 - 23 with our 24' travel trailer, averaging ~$67/night. We were assigned site 56, which ended up being quite spacious in the wooded area of the park. It's listed on the map as "Daylily Oversize". I think at one point it may have been two smaller spots, as there was a older waste PVC in the ground.
[Good] The majority of the park was very well maintained, and the feel of being a part of nature was great. Good amount of shade in the wooded area. Space between sites was very good, and everything is pull through if you're a driver who worries about that. Trash is picked up from the site twice a day. Waste pipe is threaded. Being close enough to Atlanta, the channels available over the air were good enough to hold you over. Bathrooms by the pool were clean. We didn't need to use any others. The pool was clean.
[Bad] They have a very large activity building, but didn't have any activities while we were there, and I didn't see a schedule for anything going on. I would have thought this was the perfect place to have a social breakfast on a weekend morning. It rained pretty heavily one of the days we were there, and in the wooded area, I think there may be an issue with the sewage, as at one point the smell could be noticed in the area of the connection. Garbage only, no recycling. I'm not sure if they were taken out during a rain storm and never put back, but none of the tables at the pool had an umbrella. This didn't matter too much for us, but I saw a few families complaining as there was very little shaded area in the pool during most of the day. The grass on our site was pretty long when we pulled in. I noticed someone mowing the site shortly after we pulled in, and thought it was someone from the park. Turned out to be a neighbor who was staying long-term ( Rick! ). We saw the park mowing the next day.
[Other] The wooded sites are not paved like the other sites. This made for some really uneven roads after the rain. The maintenance team quickly came through and leveled...
Read moreNice big rig friendly campground, along US Hwy 27 and out in the country, and no road noise! Staying here in a 40 ft diesel motorcoach from Sept 3, 2018 to Sept 10, 2018 and maybe a few days more. Lots of pull-thru sites with 50 amp full hookup sites, premium sites have gravel entry then concrete rv pad long enough for a 45 foot bus. Good Sam discount or weekly rate. We paid $ 55 a night. Good water pressure and good electric. Roads in and out of park are blacktop, a few interior roads are still gravel. Some sites are slightly slopped. Good Wifi, cable tv and pull thrus are out in the open so your satelite works Verizon cell service workd good too. Decent grassy spaces between the campsites, nice trek deck picnic tables well kept park. Quiet and not many campers since it is after Labor Day weekend. Pool, showers and laundry, dog walk, and play ground. We use our own showers but husband said showers looked clean and were nice. Do Not arrive after dark like we did as the curved interior roads are confusing in the dark. Office staff is very nice and helpful. Close to many attractions ; Biblical History Center, Little White House, Wild Animal Safari, Callaway Gardens & Resort, Pine Mountain, FD Roosevelt State Park, one and a half hours from the Jimmy Carter National Museum of his boyhood home, the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library is 80 miles north of this rv park. Tuskeegee Airman Museum is approx 50 miles away. Plus much more to see and do within 4 to 100 mile radium of this rv park. When you first pull in you think oh no as you see really slopped gravel sites in a wooded area. Trust me the pull thrus in the back of the park are open and nice. There are 225 campsites. The only downside is even with a cement rv pad it is not wide enough to step out of rv on cement, you are in the grass, but no biggie as we use a small door mat. So glad we found ths park and...
Read moreMy 2 daughters and one of their friends stayed here 1st week of june. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The pool and hot tub were excellent. The yurt we stayed. Slept 6 and was clean and the heating and air worked we needed both. All the guest we encountered were kind. The trip was ruined and I would never recommend that anyone stay here. 2nd day there was brown mess on 1 of the 2 toilets 6 yurt share (2 toilets). I politely informed the front office. Spoke with Melissa who claimed she already cleaned the restrooms for the day which was a lie bc all the same standing puddles were still there and nothing was clean. but made it seem she would send someone back to clean. She did not do so but instead had a sign placed "out of order" which was a lie the toilet worked fine as long as u hold the handle down. Placed a sign and didn't even lock the door or clean the feces up. Later pn the door was locked. They left us with little to no tp. We ran out they call this glamping1 toilet for 6 yurts. 2 showers. That is not adequate to begin and the flat out lies and laziness to have someone do the job. Melissa had no hospitality or customer service skill whatsoever. When I was calling back to address the still dirt toilets she spoke over me and continued to make "you and they " statements and even made a "box" gesture with her hands stating "this is my area" like I haven't been dealing with her about the issue the whole time. I did have some choice words for her at that point what else can u do with incompetence. I should have asked for the manager bit I just wanted to leave I was hundreds of miles from. Home alone with my children and was no where near being treated with...
