Nice park, great location with access to the lake for swimming and fishing. Clean park, nice showers! The RV spots are really close together!!! Like, really close for comfort. Not cool.
The staff at the gate is great, but the Park Groundsman is an older Man that is very bossy and growchy. He made stuff up after I left - said I had trash there, and I was diligent with picking it up and running to the trash; twice at the end before leaving.
He called my cellphone 30 mins down the road, aggressive and then threatened to call the law. I was feeling nauseous that morning I left, and he had came over during a stomach episode and was telling me the rules for clean-up. I kinda’ got snooty back and he just had it in for the young guy at camp.
They could hire a nicer, less growchy person and that’d be nice. I won’t go back probably, due to this weird episode. There are other nice parka around. :) And the...
Read moreToday was my fisrt time being here. I only used the boat ramp to launch. It costs 5.00 and is via the honor system. When you get through the gate there is a pole telling boaters to register there. Fill your info in on the envelope and make sure you have a 5.00 bill. There is no one to make change for you.
Ramp is steeper then the one at Johnson Creek so it's easier to launch from and the design of the cove protects you from some of the wind driven current that pulls you around when coming in to pull out.
As my wife and I drove through we continually commented about what a great place to camp it would be, and the spots near the shoreline allow you to beach your boat there for the night during your stay.
Great location and will be back for many more activities...
Read moreOne of our favorite places to stay on Texoma. They've updated all the bathrooms (so ignore the passed reviews concerning those) AND hired Cindy to clean them. You haven't used a cleaner restroom at any COE on Texoma!! Even the vault toilets are pleasant!! She has instructions in there, so please follow them to help her help you, and pick up after yourself!!! Our favorite area is A, even though we don't own horses. It's quiet, and shaded. If you know the grounds well enough, you can pick the perfect spot for yourself. Use the satellite view if needed to book. Yes, some sites are tight.. as they are at ALL campgrounds. Just be friendly.....
