Best place to start is at the beginning. For reasons I won't go into, we were less than 3 months out from my daughter's wedding, and we had to make a change of the venue. My awesome wife jumped on-line and started looking for venues in the Fulshear/Simonton area. She said come look at this one, and it was Circle of Seven Ranch. I looked at the pics and figured this place is for sure booked on this short notice. But she contacted the owners, David and Vivian, and low and behold, the date we needed was open and it was the only opening they had. So, they scheduled a tour for the next day. I was not able to go, but the 2 moms, bride and my mother went for the tour. They loved it. So, we booked it. My wife and I went out a week later and CSR is awesome. Longhorns - they got longhorns in their pastures. So, this is a rustic country place. The grounds are well maintained, and everything is beautiful.

On to the package. They offer several packages and we went all in with "The Works". It just made the most sense and cents. During the weeks leading up to the event, David and Vivian communicated with us every step of the way as far as making sure everything was ordered and what we wanted in place.

The Works package includes food and we met with their caterer, Ben's Chuck Wagon out of Wallis, Tx. Prior to, we selected what we wanted to sample and when we arrived, they shared some awesome home cooked Texas country food. It was a hard decision, but we selected the chicken fried chicken, grilled chicken with mushroom sauce (so good), green beans and mac n cheese. And let me say, it's all home cooked. Even the gravy - not from a package. The Works also included a bar tender and a police officer. The Works also included tipping for the bar tender.

What is not included is photographer and/or DJ. They have contacts if you like or get your own. The groom's family lined this up according to both photographer and DJ, worked very well together.

For the bride and brides' maids, they have their own room to get ready. For the groom and groom's men, they have a converted horse barn that has all kinds of things to do and a dressing room. It's pretty cool.

On to the wedding. It went off without hitch. Perfect. My daughter was beautiful. We had it outside and the weather, for Texas, was perfect. Everyone had a great time and the couple, they got married.

As for my wife and I, we rented the guest house they have. It's a large two-bedroom, one bath. We didn't want to drive back and forth from Katy, so we stayed there. FYI: It sleeps 7. It was nice not having to drive home after the event.

David and Vivian were awesome hosts. Very accommodating to whatever was asked of them.

If you are looking for the rustic county setting and to use Circle of 7 Ranch, you want be disappointed.

I know this is a long review, but this place has so...

My wife and I are writing separate reviews for Circle of Seven because we feel so strongly that this is an amazing venue from top to bottom. Brides, my wife's review might be more geared to what you're curious about; but, grooms, this one's for you:

For starters, David and Vivian (the owners and operators) provided such a wealth of information that their venue felt like a one-stop shop for most of the major wedding weekend requirements. Need a caterer? They've got multiple packages that include provided caterers that they have personally vetted and proudly support. Need a place for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready without being right in the middle of the wedding set-up? They've got an amazing AirBnB onsite that is available with the Weekend at the Ranch package. Need a place for the guys to hang out the day of without going stir crazy because we know the bride is going to ask us to be there hours before we actually NEED to be there because "photos"? David's got you covered with a barn retreat that has everything from ping pong to cornhole with industrial quality fans that keep air circulating even for the summer weddings. Need a flexible venue that can accommodate indoor or outdoor seating arrangements and ceremonies? They've got you covered--just check out their photos on Facebook.

In addition, David and Vivian provide a summary of all their packages with projected costs based on number of guests to help you plan thoroughly. Admittedly, every wedding entails a substantial expense, but their packages are incredibly thoughtful, well-planned, and attainable. In addition, David and Vivienne took the time to address our needs, concerns and questions in such a way that we were able to adapt the contract and plan to our specific wedding. They also have a timeline and checklist that allows them to remain in contact with the bride and groom to adjust for any specific changes. More than that, David and Vivian make you feel like family. They are understanding and adaptive to the needs of their clients. They not only made the planning painless, but they made the day-of feel natural and easy. Everyone from our bridesmaids and groomsmen to our family and friends felt at home and couldn't stop complimenting this venue. It is incredible from top to bottom.

We are definitely behind the ball in writing this review. We got married at the end of April, and we've been meaning to write this review since the day after. David and Vivian, thank you so much for all you helped us with and the impact you made in our special day. For anyone looking for a rustic, yet refined ranch venue, this is your place and these are...

I got married here on October 30 and it was the happiest day of my life for sure. But the owners gave us a hard time a month before our wedding. We had told them many times of our ideas and timing and every time they said that was fine and they could work with that. But 4 weeks prior to the wedding they told us someone had booked a day before us which was really stressful because we were told we could come a day before to setup everything ourselves. I had made centerpieces, bought draping, rented tablecloths among with other things. They said they had emailed us but I hardly check my email and my husband did not get anything. They did not text or call to let us know we had received this email. Because of this we had to hire a coordinator, well I was more at ease at this point. The same day we went to cancel our reservation, which we did not and now I regret it, we told David that we would be coming on the 28th for our wedding rehearsal and he said that day was ours and he would mark it on his calendar. Well the day came and he acted like he didn't know and he wasn't expecting us. We had the rehearsal anyway. Then on the day of the wedding he told us we had to clear out by 10 and we were confused because we had said it would end at 1 and they knew this. Of course again the contract said otherwise, but they never corrected us. And I guess we missed that part. We were able to buy one more hour but honestly this put a lot of stress on us. I would not have business with them again. He was rude to our family and guests. That's unacceptable. I get that it was in the contract and we missed those details but he was straight up rude and unprofessional. We never heard an apology as well. But honestly wouldn't want anything to do with this venue ever again....To your response, that is not how it worked out and even my guests thought you were rude. But that's that. Obviously you're a business who wants to look good for everybody, all the details of the wedding were discussed contantly every time we came by. Yes it was a nice venue and we were happy at first until the day of. Be honest with...
