We stayed at the Buck School Inn for three nights in August 2022. We had booked the Brandywine Suite. Everything was as it should have been. The bed was comfortable, perhaps a wee bit soft for us but we prefer a harder bed. Most people would love the mattress and bedding I’m sure. There is a HUGE TV in the room with plentiful selection of channels and apps to choose from. The kitchen is still closed due to COVID however Mark provided orange juice and yogurt in the small in-room fridge along with granola and bowls to use for breakfast. A Kuerig beverage maker was well supplied with a variety of coffees and tea. Fruit (bananas and oranges) were set out on the dining room table for anyone that wanted fruit for breakfast.
The air conditioning worked well in the room and you can adjust it as you want. The Wi-Fi was fast and worked well (router was in our room). We found the exterior of the Inn to be well lit. Perhaps those who mentioned the lighting in other reviews were commenting on the entrance from the road? It is quite dark with no street lighting but that is to be expected out in the country. Google Maps on Android Auto pinpointed the entrance with accuracy. We arrived during the daylight hours and had no difficulty at all and even returning home at dark we could see the driveway entrance (but knew where it was).
We recommend the Buck School Inn for a stay. While not luxurious, more like quaint, but clean and well-equipped, it served our needs for a good place to stay while in the area. We felt the amount paid represented pretty good value for a large, equipped room along with a good continental breakfast of coffee, juice, yogurt and...
Read moreThe Buck School Inn was a pleasant respite close to the Downingtown borough. We enjoy staying in places that are unique rather than a typical hotel and this fit the bill. The king size bed was extremely comfortable, the shower had great water pressure, the surroundings were peaceful and quiet. There was a cute courtyard to sit outside. I was disappointed that there was not a typical B&B type breakfast in a shared space to meet other guests. But the price was good and the place comfortable. A beautiful old stone house in the...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I stayed at the Buck School Inn for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. The conversion from its original structure was beautifully done. Mark recommended some food places and hiking spots that were very appreciated. The Inn was clean and quaint, and the in-room coffee maker was clutch. I didn’t realize beforehand that we would be sharing a bathroom with other guests, and I wouldn’t quite say breakfast was included, as only yogurt and granola was offered. Overall, solid stay at a beautiful and unique place....
