Short version: If you like a party atmosphere for your RV vacation with a ton of activities for kids and lax quiet hours--and you don't mind paying the premium for that--this is probably a fun place for you. If you're looking for a quiet tent camping weekend with simple, clean amenities and a natural setting, look elsewhere.
Long version: Pros: easy location, check-in and lots of family activities, centered around Halloween/"spooky season" when we visited first weekend of October. Grocery store, Dunkin Donuts, pharmacy nearby. An Amish trailer sold jams and jellies and baked goods onsite Saturday morning. The store at the entrance was big and had anything you'd need in a pinch. There was a good sized water park (closed for the season) that my kids would've enjoyed. This is clearly a place people return to year after year and enjoy coming to in big groups. This is a glamping experience for sure with water/electric and a huge amount of large RVs with established sites. We couldn't believe the lengths people had gone to, to decorate their RV sites for Halloween, it was wild and fun to walk through at night. Employees were helpful, trash pickup is regular and right at your site which is nice. There is no "roughing it" here. If this is your family's vibe, you'd probably love it here.
Cons: this is our first time staying at a Jellystone and while I can see the appeal, I'll give a review from the perspective of a family that likes to tent camp to get outdoors in the woods and enjoy a peaceful weekend away in a quiet natural setting. This is the opposite of that.
First off, this was so insanely expensive for tent camping, it was shocking, especially when we realized after we committed that the onsite kids activities were at additional costs. This was $360 for a TENT SITE for 2 nights! We arrived at dusk on Friday evening and the party atmosphere was in full-swing. While we selected a tent site, we were smack in the middle of the RV section and surrounded by noisy neighbors, air conditioners running, and a literal HOT TUB at the site next to us. That's a first at a campground for us. The bathhouse was okay looking with private stalls including sink, toilet and showers and relatively clean. Never had issue waiting for a stall. But there was no running water in the first one we tried, and no signage indicating that until I was trying to start the shower. Really annoying.
A rowdy hayride rolled by our tent site every 20 minutes, flashing strobe lights with music blaring and kids screaming, until 10PM. We had no problem with that actually because quiet hours didn't start until 11PM and families were having fun. Okay, fair enough. We also didn't mind the groups of kids playing flashlight tag and having fun around us... until it was 12AM and they were running through our site, shining flashlights into our tents. Quiet hours were supposed to be 11PM to 8AM and this was a total joke. People partied around us loudly until well after midnight. The group next to us was unbelievably rude and rowdy until 1:30AM, kids and adults shouting, screaming, talking loudly. At 12PM, a guy pulled out a guitar and started a loud sing-along that lasted for over an hour. When I called the office to complain (3 times) after 12:30AM and selected the "emergency" line, no one answered, ever. The line just rings. Cars and trucks were also coming and going at all hours of the night, shining headlights into our tent and waking us up. I'm not sure what that was all about, but it was weird.
We packed up and left first thing Saturday morning. We considered asking to move to another site, but at that point it started pouring down rain so relocating wasn't really an option.
This was definitely a memorable camping trip but I can't say we'll ever return. We'll be sticking to the state parks...

We checked in Sunday 7/2, & informed later by staff fireworks were that night. What a disappointment, because we just got there, no time to set up, no time to explore grounds, or have time to relax after long drive. The following day we had to wait till 11 am to go to the pool. So with 2 kids we got to explore the park & look at the beer cans & trash all over. I actually picked up some beer cans & bottles in the playground. The kids who ran the activity department were very nice. However very over worked & short staff, events that were suppose to happen didn’t or got blended into other activities. We paid for bear visit; Boo-Boo & Cindy came. They were only 2 bears kids saw whole vaca. I saw Yogi 1x on the back of a golf cart. The park is called Yogi Bear’s Jellystone? My kids were extremely upset they never saw him & I used the excuse he ate too many picnic baskets & was sleeping. The bear night time story, had to pay $15 per kid. There was us & another family that received milk & cookies. Another family sat behind us who did not pay & they were allowed to stay, they just did not get milk & cookies! WHAT! We literally paid $30 for milk & cookies that the kids only ate 1/2 a cookie by the time the speed read story was done. I would have told the kids we have food at the cabin & didn’t need the milk & cookies. Again pictures taken with Boo-Boo. The hayride, no organization, we were 1st in line to be next. They unloaded the group & rain drops stared, we were ready to get on & saw they were putting up steps & walking away. The kids started to cry & wanted to know what was going on. The staff said Maybe in 5 minutes, if it stops raining they would take us out. We stood in the trees waiting for 5 minutes & we figured they were not coming back out so we left. However the next day we saw a group of people that said they did in fact go out after the rain lightened up. If the staff would have said they would take kids when rain stopped we would have stayed & waited it out. However the impression the staff gave was they were not going to do it. Paid for lunch with a bear, hoping we may see Yogi, Yup you guessed it Boo-Boo was the bear who stood around while kids ate their pizza. The pool area is swim at own risk, extreme lack of employees maintaining area for safety or sanitary reasons. Kids were playing while sitting in their yellow swamp puddles. Kids were playing on slides & running around with no adult supervision. The woman’s bathroom smelled awful, if I didn’t have little kids I would have went back to the cabin! There was a large group of people the park was catering to & the one day there was a water ice truck parked right outside the pool area that turned every child away that was not part of that group!!!! What an awful experience watching children cry, having their feelings hurt telling them they could not get anything! So disrespectful to all the other guests! Needless to say there’s extremely poor management (which were only kids), disorganization, lack of employment, and lack of respect for your customers. I was hoping that this vacation would be a start of a new tradition for my family. This will not be a place to revisit!
Management’s Response was less than satisfying. I do not recommend Quarryville for a destination spot if you have a family. If you plan on partying with friends then this is the...
