Gull Lake Resort — Hotel in East Gull Lake

Our Family & Family friends booked 3 cabins with Gull Lake Resort for Memorial weekend 2018. This was the first time we booked, our families simply outgrew previous resorts we’ve stayed at on Memorial weekend the past thirty plus years. ||It was a particularly hot weekend, our cabin was cool when we got there but sometime during our first night, the main air conditioner quit working. We called Ruthie, the owner, & unbelievably, she was at our cabin within 10 minutes. She contacted her go to air conditioning repair company, (Saturday morning of Memorial weekend), they were on site & repaired a faulty capacitor within a couple hours. ||In all 48 years of renting summer cabins for holidays & vacations, we have not had any better responsiveness to a significant problem, given temperatures in the mid 90’s with high humidity!||Hats off to Gull Lake Resort owner Ruthie & the air conditioning repair company for a job well done!||Let me add that our overall experience with the quietness of the resort, cleanliness & spaciousness of our cabins, and the proximity of the boat docks all contributed to a very enjoyable 3 days for our families! This resort was recommended to us by my husbands's colleague. It is beautifully located steps from the water. Each unit has its own dock, which is great for us because we belong to a boat club and we have boats we can use at Gull Lake Marina. So we left our car at the marina and drive the boat back. Our unit had three bedrooms, two baths, a living room and a fully appointed kitchen. The units aren't new but they are clean, immaculate and updated. It is pet friendly for $15 a night-our Springer Spaniel was in heaven playing in the water. Bring your own towels, face cloths, dish cloths, garbage bags and soap/dish detergent. It is quiet and peaceful. The owner is very nice and accommodating. Three generations stayed here and found plenty to entertain us. We cooked breakfast and lunch in the kitchen, which is an affordable way to do it. Grocery store is 10 minutes away. Just wish we could have...

We've been coming here for about 7 years now. We enjoy the privacy this end-of-the-road resort offers. The hosts are wonderful people. The cabins are right on the lakeshore, although we look out on a marsh area. There are boats to rent. The reception area offers some common supplies and some games like ping pong and foosball, as well as laundry facilities. But the place is not in as good a condition as it was when we first came here. Things are beginning to look old (the games, the facilities in general). It was really hard to get the sliding door to close in our unit. The picture window leaked when it rained. It's time to replace the mattresses. The TV is small by today's standards.
