My husband planned a Birthday getaway for us, and what a fabulous surprise….The Marshall House! Before our arrival, we were contacted by Michelle inquiring about allergies and food preferences. We have frequented Bed & Breakfasts throughout the country, and I must say, that courtesy alone, put a big smile our face. As we drove onto the property we were welcomed with a beautifully manicured property landscape. The long driveway took us to the expansive home with individual guest parking spaces. In the lobby there was a chalkboard with a customized welcome message with our names on it. Our suite was beautiful, spacious and immaculate, with all the comforts of home, even a fireplace! My husband had mentioned prior to our arrival that this visit was a birthday present, and in our room, we were welcomed with discreet birthday decorations throughout the room. The restaurant they recommended for dinner was perfect, and we even received a discount! Prior to heading out to dinner we received an invite from Jay and Michelle to a roaring bonfire on this delightful full moon night. Our only disappointment was that they were fully booked for the following night…we didn’t want to leave! Next time we will plan further ahead and try to get a two-night stay. Finally, I would be remiss if I did not mention the following. We had a slight emergency which caused us to checkout late. Michelle was most accommodating and extremely understanding. Thank you, Michelle & Jay, for a wonderful stay! The traits you both displayed are what truly make your Bed & Breakfast stand out among the rest.

I really enjoyed our stay here. We were in the Carlino Suite. It was giant, well appointed, and well cared for. There were cold bottles of water in the fridge, wine glasses and a wine opener on top of the fridge, fresh flower bouquet on the table, and great toiletries in the bedroom. Our hosts also turned down our bed and left Hershey's kisses on our pillows! Breakfast (served buffet style for you to eat at the table in your room) was fresh, homemade, and delicious. My food allergies were even taken into account and asked about ahead of our stay. My only complaint is that my husband only booked one night!!!

The place was very cozy and the atmosphere is welcoming. Hosts (Jay & Michelle) welcomed with open arms and added personal touches to the rooms that we stayed. My wife and I had a very relaxing time while staying in the room, and we enjoyed exploring the area with the area guide that Jay & Michelle put together. I strongly recommend anyone to spend their time at the Marshall House!

We stayed at The Marshall House in April for one night during an essential trip and Jay and Michelle were wonderful hosts, respecting our request for no-contact during Covid-19. Michelle made a delicious breakfast for us with tons of fruits and veggies (per our request) and texted me when everything was ready in the hallway buffet area. We loved the many complimentary chocolates and sweets after our drive (there was a cute snacks and drinks station in the shared hallway as well). Our room, the Hershey Suite, was spacious, well-appointed, and had beautiful views of the expansive yard. We felt right at home instantly and we're planning to stay here again when we travel through. Thanks so much, Jay and Michelle, for making us...
