Not a great camping spot for hanging out at camp, but it is super convenient for seeing St. Louis. Pretty expensive for a couple nights in a tightly packed parking lot. Power, sewer and water we fine. Laundry was $3 per wash and $3 per dry, so we passed on them. Wifi worked most of the time. Trains weren't too loud. Mostly it is helicopter noise that you hear and they stop running after dark. The metro runs regularly, but it doesn't blast a horn. The hard part was getting into a site, the isles are narrow and sites small. Fitting a trailer and the tow vehicle took some ingenuity. You can access the hotels tiny pool, which our kids were happy about on a hot day. The walk to the arch was across the Eads bridge. It is ghetto with broken glass and booze bottles all along it, but has a nice view of the arch. From camp to the arch and back was 4 miles. The fireworks could be seen from camp, but not a great view. We went over to the observation platform and you could see them good. The embankment blocks the views for anyone at street level on the Illinois side. If you get past the rails and up to the wall, the view of the river and the barges is unobstructed. It is harder to get to though and only matters if you want good photos of the arch or to see fireworks. Security patrols the camp regularly and will pick you up if you want a lift to the casino, hotel or metro terminal. We just walk a lot and so just hoofed it. There wasn't as much city noise as I feared, but it was definitely a city camp and the helicopters are annoying. Not sure how they can run right by the National park site when you can't even idle a bus there. We might stay here again to have quick access to the city, otherwise we usually camp further away at Babler State Park. This camp is just right across the river from the arch, like I could see it from our window. So good location, but not a nice campground.

Huge shout out to George Gregg, the RV Resort Host for saving the day! We arrived at the RV Resort and found that the reservation we had made for one night was for the night before. We called the reservation/customer service line and they were no help at all. They would not refund our night and they said we could make another reservation online. We looked and there were no spots available so we searched for another place near to stay the night (closest one was about an hour away). As we were getting ready to leave, George saw we had been sitting a while and came up and asked us if he could help. He explained he was the RV Host and he would try and make it right. He ended up providing us a spot for the night at no charge! Thank you George!! The park itself has a nice playground with picnic tables and outdoor grills, laundry facilities, bathrooms, office and an area for dogs. You can see the St. Louis Arch and downtown skyline from the park too. It’s basic but clean, lots are flat and decent sized. We have a 42’ fifth wheel and it was easy to park. Its fairly easy to access and walking distance to the Casino (if that’s your thing). We would have not recommended to stay at this park if George had not gone out of his way to assist and accommodate us. Give it a try if your in the area. George will take good care of you!

This is a decent spot, if all you need is a place to spend the night close to the city-but don’t expect more than that. It is overpriced for what you get, and there is no on-site support at all (nobody on site to run the campground). A freight train comes the park several times during the night, and woke us up even over our air-conditioner running. There are two distinct sides to the park-one was smaller spaces that is nicely treed for shade, and one that has larger spaces but no shade. The whole thing is on gravel and concrete, so it heats up quickly. When we arrived, we were registered to stay on the shaded side but our 24 foot travel trailer (which is actually 28 feet tip to tip) didn’t even come close to fitting into the spot assigned to us. A quick call to the front desk remedied the situation by putting us on the other side of the park, the downside is that they charged us an additional $10 and there are no shade trees on the other side. Overall, we would probably not stay again unless we were simply trying to stay close to the city-as it is only 10 minutes from the arch, ye ballpark and downtown St. Louis.

Story time. Moving my family (5 people, 2 little dogs, and two cats) from San Diego to the Pittsburgh area. Bought a used RV to make the long trip a little easier on everyone. My daughter really wanted to stop and see the arch and the pictures of this "resort" seemed worth the extra cost. When I realized that we would be rolling into town at around 3am I figured we would stop at a truck stop and kill a few hours while I booked a spot online as to not to disturb anyone and avoid being turned away for it be too early or just booked up. There was no info on the website about check in - check out times and at no point during the entire booking process or subsequent emails was it stated that check in wasn't until noon. When we arrived at around 8:30am there was no signage telling us where to go but we spotted it after a lap around the casino parking lot. Got to the gate and the code did not work and there was no escape from the gate without backing out. Luckily there was no one behind us and we were able to pull aside and call. This is when we were informed of the early check in fee. Haven't had this problem at any other RV stop. Fine, whatever. Code still wont work. Asked to wait until a manager can figure out why. Called back after 20 minutes of waiting. Code still wouldn't work. At some point an employee drove over and let us in the gate. Found our spot (was reassigned due to the one I booked still being occupied but also fine). Hookups are not in a great location as stated in other reviews but I made it work. Sewer hookup is just a straight pipe with no threading. Maybe I'm missing some connector I haven't needed at any other site I've stayed at? I carry duct tape so no problem. Parking space is nowhere near level so blocks were needed. Sure. The entire place was infested with stink bugs but maybe it was the time of year. Go to use the facilities and my code still wont work. Call again and told I was not checked in properly. Code still wont work. After trying a couple different codes I think they gave up and just gave me an employee code. Discover there are only 2 dorm size washers and 2 dryers for over 200 RV spots but they are luckily open and I haven't been able to wash for 5 people in over a week. Change machine only takes ones and fives and is out of change. Call again and told they would send someone over. 2 hours later still nobody shows. Walked almost a 1\4 mile to the casino to get change and the same back. The view from the camp is mostly of a huge parking lot and the side of the casino but maybe it looks better at night. We were able to walk over to a viewing spot on the other side of the casino about a half mile to a good spot to see the arch. This is a $100 a night experience. Twice the price of every other place I've stayed. It was more pleasant sitting in the parking lot of a truck stop the night before. Pass on this one and just hit a...

They charge extra for pets!!!

They give you a gate code for a gate but there is NONE, the barrier arm is missing , everyone can access it day and night! So just say bye bye to your security! We called them to let them know, they said they were sending someone right away to fix it, guess what? the guy obviously lost his way somewhere in the city because the gate hasn’t been fixed within days and probably won’t be…

The sites are not well designed so one of our neighbor took more than half of a side to park his car, the other neighbor let his trash bag on the other side so it looks like we don’t have a side; Feeling squeezed between the two who were there first.

It seems the campers can do whatever they want with no checking, our neighbor left his trash out, after 3 days of smelling it we told the guy at the office, that that was disgusting. He said don’t worry I am going right now to remove it. Guess what?… Yes this guy too lost his way..,it’s not a surprise that the trash stayed at the same place the all time we were there. 5 nights but fortunately we changed spot in the meantime.

There weren’t a lot of RV but they sardined them all in the same area instead of spreading them out! When we booked our spot online we didn’t have a lot of choices but it looks like there is plenty of empty spaces that could have been used instead of putting everybody at the same area!

Concrete and gravel everywhere that they don’t even weed!

No shade! Wifi doesn’t work!

The dumpster misses a cover so all the trash and smell are exposed. The second night, while walking our dog, we saw a cat standing up on top of the dumpster, it seems he was snacking on trash! And when we walked our dog we saw several dumpster fences without dumpster in it but trash on the ground, no wonder this place smells! There was trash flying everywhere, you can’t walk without seeing ton of debris and trash all over. This place is a dump!

Near by are train tracks so you can hear trains Even with our white noise at night we could hear the trains passing non stop! There are A LOT of trains and we could really feel the vibrations, no joke! the RV shaking as well as our bed and so ourselves every 10 minutes or so! Because we are not babies anymore we didn’t appreciate at all to be rocked the all night! We even had to change spot because it really felt like we weren’t not in a RV but on a boat during a bad storm. We had to move as far as possible from the tracks but we still had issues with that.

Everything looks like they absolutely don’t care about your comfort or your safety!! It’s not like it’s cheap: $50/day!!

Too bad google didn’t let me put...
