Where do I start? If you are a camper, or RVing more than one night, after pulling in minutes before falling asleep, this is not the stop for you. We were greeted to a full septic tank 25 feet from our camp site. This was being pumped out and without warning our tent smelled like burritos left out on a carpet for a week. The showers backed up, so you paid a quarter for 2 1/2 minutes to stand in your own filth. I actually don’t recommend showering here at all. In the men’s bathroom, the single toilet stall had a half wall, making eye contact with a stranger a normal thing while squeezing out a log. The women’s bathroom had a stall with no lock and the hand dryer was not working. The hot spring pool area was nice and big. It’s cool having your own source in the camp. The trade off is no where to cool off and a sulfur smell if you are at the campsites. All the spaces are extremely tight. Tighter than any other campground I’ve been at. The only thing tighter was how much time you have left to finish showering in. The ground is not suitable for camping. Stakes bend 99% of the time. I’m leaving with 6 bent stakes. Not all the sites have a fire pit. Ours did not but our neighbors did. Yes, there is a train that comes by at 11pm to wake you up from falling asleep and again at 5am if you missed the first one. It’s 20 feet behind the tent spots, but I swear it drove over our site. There is no dark lights out policy. We had two street lamps pouring into our tent all night. I know this was designed for RVs, but if you are tenting it’s horrible. There was no cell service or maintenance of the property. The only public garbage bin was in the far corner of the property. In order to come back, there needs to be an overhaul of the facilities - showers and bathrooms, at a minimum. The picture attached is of our site, not our tent, that's the next site. You will hear everything from the tents around you and have no privacy.

Is others have stated it is definitely a down at the heels RV park that has seen better days. It's $45 for electric and water only no dumping. 65 if you need to dump. The pool was beautiful and it's big. You could do laps in that pool. The water was good and hot. The stairs leading to the pool need work and definitely the handrails need work especially since the pool gets slimy in between cleanings. If the handrails are there are they're simply 2x4s with PVC not a whole lot of structure to them and at least one is completely missing, it's lying on the ground. And it looks like it's been there for a while. This place has a lot of assets but it looks like people are just taking whatever the money they can out of it without putting anything back into it. They advertise cabins, but there are only shoddy buildings and the office. The office looks newer. Speaking of cleanings; on the day I was leaving I hoped to get another quick soak in before checking out at 11:00. But the pool had been completely drainos being cleaned which it absolutely needed. But I wondered why I couldn't have been told when I checked in the day before that they were cleaning the next morning. When I asked the guy at the desk said that they encourage their guests check the website for schedules so that everybody knows when the cleanings are. I wasn't encouraged to check the website, there was very little conversation and how much effort would it have been for him to say, "hey, by the way, the pool's getting cleaned in the morning so plan accordingly. You won't be able to get into it until after 7:00 p.m." The sign at the entrance to the park as you're pulling in says that there is laundry and shade there is really neither the trees are pretty puny so the shade is limited and there's definitely no laundry.

I enjoyed my stay during Labor Day weekend. The hot springs pools are very relaxing. The temperature varies depending on where you are in the pool. The first section is much cooler where lots of kids play. Move towards the back and it gets much warmer towards the source pool / fountain. I do recommend pool shoes as the bottom is a bit slick. The mountains in the background are beautiful especially around sunrise and sunset. It's in a nice location. I stayed in water/electric only pull-in spot 3A. The wi-fi worked well during my stay and was able to work. They do offer pay by the minute showers. Also, laundry though the machines were not working during my stay. But the pool the main pull here are the hot springs. It's nice to be able to walk down wherever (7am -9:30pm) and take a dip. The train tracks are very close and the train does come by a couple times in the evening but I stay up late so it wasn't an issue for me. Also, I couldn't use my surge protector to plug in as it kept my a/c from running. However, without the surge protector everything worked fine. I've run into that issue at a couple different parks now so not sure what that's about. But figured I'd mention it.

Our stay was not good. It started when we first arrived to see that the door handle was barely hanging on like it had been broken into at some point. We put our bags in the cabin and our groceries in the fridge and left to go into town to visit our family, which was the purpose of our trip. When we arrived back late that night we had no lights except for in the bathroom. Everywhere else was pitch black. We had to use our phones to see. Then we realized none of the outlets worked either except for the one by the microwave. The outlet in the loft area looked as though a fire had almost started as it was black and burnt looking. We got extremely cold the first night but like i mentioned everything was dark so we could not turn on the heater or use the Fireplace. The next morning we woke up to find that the fridge where we put our groceries apparently didn't work either as the food was warm and there was water coming from the freezer. There were also no towels at all to clean up the water so we had to use our blankets we brought to soak up the water and throw out all of our groceries we had just purchased before we checked in. There were wires coming from the bottom of the stove/fire pit thing inside and where there should be a fire extinguisher was just an empty holder. So we are thankful we didnt turn that on for heat as it could have caused a fire. There were ants everywhere in the kitchen as well. The bathroom itself was quite dirty, you could see the mold behind the sink and clumps of hair in the shower. For the nightly fee this was extremely disappointing. I went to the office the next morning to report the issues and the gentleman stated he would have his brother come to look at it when he returned. The Brother came about 30 minutes later and was extremely rude when we were explaining our issues about the lights almost like we did something to cause the issues. He showed zero compassion for what we were saying and gave no apology for the extreme circumstances. I have never been to a motel or campground that would rent a cabin in this condition and act like we shouldn't be upset for coming back to no lights and all of our food ruined. So not only did we have to spend money for towels that should be there but now we were also out almost $80 in the food that we had to throw away. I have stayed at the lodge many times in the past and never had any issues. To say we were disappointed is an...

We’ve been coming here for years. It’s tired and dated but we love it and Thermopolis. The new owners are quickly making improvements.. Water was shut off frequently while we were there and a cloud of dust from the piles of dirt from construction covered everything blowing in the camp site. Men’s room is really gross and out of order for part of our stay. Women’s room and showers are much improved! And despite advertisements and asking- all the washers and dryers are still very much out of order. Some things we’d love to see: Shade cloths over pool in summer Ledge to sit on along side of pool More hooks to hang towels, benches and tables for pool stuff. The few new lounge chairs added are nice! Cold plunge -someone mentioned something about a splash pad?- sounds like noisy screaming little kids, if I want that go to Star Plunge. I hope they don’t add a splash pad and we have kids!. The old mermaid rock for them to jump off keeps them plenty busy! a cold plunge jacuzzi size or even just a small swimming pool that’s not hot- would be awesome during the summer especially after they clean and refill the pools- it’s really too hot to be in them after they clean it for a day or 2 during summer. Though the regular cleanings the slippery algae is much improved! A cold plunge would add great health benefits. Laundry- please, please, please fix or replace the washers for travelers or few night campers. Some camp grounds we’ve gone too have a w/d in the office we just paid like $5 or so at the desk to use if you want to get rid of the coin ops and turn the laundry room back into a rental suite it was years ago Tent boxes. 6 by 6s filled with pea gravel along RR fence for tents would be much more comfortable for the tent campers and motorcyclists. A small fenced dog park would be easy to put in somewhere. The “dog walk” currently there that goes up the drive behind the office building to the cabin above the hot spring could use a mowing and make it a loop or maybe some nice plantings to spruce it up. WiFi needs vast improvement. Luckily T mobile is 1-2 bars in most areas of the campground. We miss the marmots that used to oversee the pool and hope they return. Apparently they’ve moved from the road side fire, replacing ( the road is really nice now) , but we loved watching them and hearing their chirps...
