For what it is, the campground was amazing and perfect for our needs. The vault toilets were some of the cleanest me and my friends have seen - no piles of bugs or spiders everywhere which i was incredibly thankful for. The water stations were great and scattered throughout the site. Our campsite was the perfect size for us. The campground is dog friendly which allowed me to include my best bud. This was his first camping trip and he did great! My only minor complaint was that the campsite was too rocky for us to get our stakes in the ground so when it rained unexpectedly in the night my shoes got soaked because i couldn’t set up the rain flap to protect them.

After hours of driving around we found this spot. The picnic area was empty and it was perfect!! The River is behind the picnic area, you can hear the water running through the rocks. Just a small climb down and you can enjoy the water. We cooked, ate, and after we laid comforters and went down for a nap. They have bathrooms that are clean, they are still outhouses but clean. Across the street is the camping area, some you can reserve and others are to rent as you go, if they are available. The campsites are a bit close so there is not much privacy if you want to listen to music or for those who talk loud (me) Planning to go there July 4th this year

A good simple smaller campground. Three simple vault toilets, which were decently clean. There are scattered water faucets around the grounds. The campground itself was very quiet and got quite dark. You could hear the infrequent passing of vehicles on the adjacent highway throughout most the grounds, but it began to blend into the surroundings. Walkable access the small river across the road.

The camp host complained at us daily about things. The young kiddos were collecting leftover donated firewood after campsites were emptied. The camp host yelled at a 6yo and an 8yo and called them theives and told them they were stealing rather than having a rational discussion with the parents. The kids were scared. She claims she resells all leftover (i.e. Already paid for) wood. When we camp we donate our leftover wood to the other campers. Never did I guess it would be collected and another profit made. Plus, don't yell at children and accuse them of crimes. Have a discussion. Talk to the parents. Educate. Don't intimidate. The children were upset and made to feel badly. She runs the campground like she is King. It's terrible. I would find another place to stay. Camping is supposed to be fun and relaxing. Find another place. She is interested in rule enforcement to an extreme. It's sad! Very disappointing experience. It explains why this campground had open sites on Labor Day weekend. The no cell phone service was sort of nice. And the grounds are beautiful. Hence...

This was a great space to stay for fall leaf peeping. We stayed in site 16 which was nice, and close to the bathroom & water pump, but the website pictures were misleading as to the size of the site. It wasn't small but we were expecting it to be roomier and farther away from other sites. Sites are not squished together but are not secluded either. Fire pits were well-made with two different sized/height grates for cooking. Bathrooms were clean and not stinky. Unfortunately we stayed during the last weekend of the season and the water pumps randomly stopped working for about 24 hours with no warning, so we had to buy water nearby. I would recommend buying wood from the host or nearby, just not the red mesh bags. The wood in those bags from a nearby store burned incredibly fast and were not worth the cost. No phone service in the campground but the Beaver lake tourist site nearby has service. Overall a good time. Campground is super close to the...
