Whether you live near or far from Shiloh Chennault B&B it is an absolute must. The heart welcoming greeting and treatment you get is like no other. The attention to detail that the owners put into you as a guest is unbelievable, not to mention the detail that they have put and continue to put into the home itself. The housekeeper Valentina is remarkable. She cares so much about accommodating your every need and keeping things so clean that it is gives you such a peace and comfort. The owners Johnathan and Polina have created an amazing sanctuary with this place and continue to keep improving it. If you are an history and/or art enthusiast it is a bonus to you to visit here. They have some fabulous art and history artifacts that they share with you while touring the home and explaining it all in detail. They even allow you to hold and take pictures with some of these historic relics. Where else can you have such an awesome privilege? You can’t imagine the love they put into their guest from the very beginning of just setting your reservation, to your room with special little touches and complimentary wine, to accommodating your eating needs and serving you breakfast in bed or serving you a three course breakfast. They truly have poured all of their love into this home and into their guest and it is very prevalent! This place will be enjoyed by any age group and I recommend you to go ASAP! If you go you’ll have it locked in your heart forever. This was the best birthday gift my husband could’ve ever given me. It is now what I consider my happy place and I will be continuing to go back as long as they continue to share this beautiful gift with the world! I believe it is the cure for destressing, living life to the fullest, decompressing, and revitalizing the soul. Please, go enjoy the best life...
Read moreOn a recent trip to Nashville we decided to spend a couple of extra days exploring the region and history of the So. Tenn area. Seeking unique options, we were so pleased to discover Shiloh Chennault Bed & Breakfast, and were exceptionally delighted with our choice!
Every possible aspect of our stay was thoughtfully anticipated and presented by our gracious and charming hosts, Polina and Jonathan, and their darling son, Alex. The morning of our arrival , we received a message with travel information and options for dining and sightseeing on our way—very helpful! As we pulled up the drive, we were warmly welcomed by Jonathan, who provided a fascinating tour of this magnificent property and the artwork and historical artifacts spanning several centuries. Jonathan is a passionate and incredibly knowledgeable collector and storyteller and set just the right tone for enjoying Southern hospitality and culture! Our room—the Grant Presidential Suite--was absolutely gorgeous, and allowed us to emerge ourselves in the period while enjoying all the modern amenities. There were even chocolates and a bottle of wine to welcome us! We enjoyed such a restful night in a most comfortable bed, and in the morning Polina prepared a three-course breakfast that was almost too beautiful eat! Polina is clearly a creative and highly talented culinarian, even creating beautiful hearts from strawberries inspired by our conversation the previous evening, so very thoughtful!
From the setting, to our hosts, to our breakfasts and in every possible manner, our stay exceeded our expectations in a most delightful way! We left feeling a part of the family, and have made dear friends! We will...
Read moreThe proprietors of Shiloh-Chennault truly want your stay with them to be the best possible in this lovely rural Southern setting. The accommodations are well-appointed and the location is quiet, peaceful, intimate. While the outside world can occasionally be heard in the distance, most sounds are of pecking chickens (no crowing), singing birds and the gentle conversation of guests and hosts. The rooms (my wife and I stayed in the Presidential Suite while my mother-in-law stayed in the Lind Suite) have been thoughtfully renovated and are well-maintained. If you need a bit of the outside world, the suites come with satellite TV and WiFi. The halls, grand foyer and dining room contain numerous works of art and items from the Civil War. Speaking of the dining room, the breakfast is fantastic. We stayed for two nights and both breakfasts were amazing. And after your day of local adventure (I was there to visit the grave of my great great great uncle who, as a member of the 12th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (Union), was killed in action at Corinth, MS, 160 years ago last week), there are few moments better spent than sitting on the west porch, watching the sunset, and talking with your loved ones as stars and fireflies fill the sky.
Your hosts--Jonathan who is very engaging and Polina who is simply delightful--work diligently to ensure your comfort as their guests. I look forward to being in their company again soon.
If you are visiting the local area or simply want to 'get away' for some personal time, I highly recommend Shiloh-Chennault Bed...
