Lawrence Shoals Public Rec — Hotel in Eatonton

Georgia power instituted a down payment requirement but only takes cash or check. Was called twice to make sure my check was in the mail. When I get to campground my wife and I rode around in our golf cart and then told it was against the rules unless I was disabled even though the golf cart is street legal. I can’t really think of a campground where you can’t take a golf cart but apparently this is the one. Campground host and campground employees use them however. We had the air conditioner on and the tv and it kept tripping the breaker at the box. Had to turn tv off. It’s a shame because the park is nice but...

We came from out of town for our son’s state shotgun competition and stayed the weekend. This campsite was wonderful! Everything was very clean. There are a few restroom/shower buildings. All of the campsites are easy to get into. There are several docks located around various campsites and the beach area was nice as well. The camp host is one of the nicest people you will meet. We are already looking into staying longer...

Have not had the chance to camp here yet. We camped at a neighboring campground, but came by here for a visit. The place was beautiful and the trails were wonderful. We took the orange trail and walked about 5 miles. It was beautiful all through there and clean. Also met the staff while looking at the campsites. They were so helpful and nice. Will be back after their renovations to camp...
