First of all, while we have only been there once, and understand that maybe some things may have been a fluke, the bottom line for this place is that it has a lot of potential but they really don't care about anyone but seasonal campers.||||Nothing at this location other than the location itself (on a nice lake) lens itself to you unless you plan on spending several thousand dollars as someone who wants to keep coming back every year.||||the usual things you see from a campground that wants the business of transient campers is the little things like campground maps so you know where everything is and where to go to find your campsite, signs for where everything is/what the hours of the store are/a phone number/when the store person will be in or back, someone in the office/store when you arrive, signs for which bathrooms are mens/womens, etc. etc. Most everything here is for the seasonal camper and they assume that since you'll be here all summer, signs etc. aren't important. They obviously don't care to even bother putting a picnic table at your site.||||Having said that, besides the lake, which was warm and nice, able to handle all kinds of watercraft; the folks staying here all seemed to be quite friendly and the only reason we would ever consider going back is BOB.||||Apparently, the owner of the campground, who we never saw and is apparently never on site, has one employee and that's BOB. Bob has to do EVERYTHING. I mean EVERYTHING, from checking in campers, to running the store to cleaning the bathrooms to fixing a water leak to delivering campfire wood to setting off fireworks to fixing a washer and dryer to just about anything else a one-man band has to do. BOB would be the only reason we would go back as he did SOOO much to make our stay comfortable without being overbearing.||||Otherwise, Province shores is wooded except as you get down closer to the water then the trailers and wall to wall and it looks like a small city. There are no planned activities or at least we didn't see any nor is anything posted anywhere. You either go to the lake or hang out at your campsite. There are no swings, courts, playgrounds etc.||||Sooooo, unless you're planning on doing seasonal camping, pass this one by. Thanks to Bob we DID have a...
Read moreI'm was on the fence at first.... But no response from manegment and the campground needing some investment and concern from ownership leave me nothing but sceptical. There are some decent campers with well mannered children here and some with attitudes and rude children. Hope that was just opening week 🙏....... After 30+ days waiting for a response for a boat slip I'm giving up. We've emailed 3 times with a response saying there was one, we requested the invoice so we could pay as we did with our site and have received no response. There appears to be no functional manegment and it would appear the owners are not very concerned with this location. I really wanted to like this place, but a lack of caring and concern make it...
Read moreWe met Rachael yesterday and it was a hard choice between which two seasonal camping areas we wanted to reserve. The ONLY reason we did not chose Province is due to the location. The location would be perfect for a short stay over the weekend but without dependable cell phone reception and the dirt roads being rough on my car, ARE THE ONLY reasons why we chose the other location. We LOVED the lake beach, the staff, and the openness of moving our camping in and out of any of the available spots. If we were retired we would have chosen this location but we still have too many years before we...
