Colonial Meadows Family Campground — Hotel in Egg Harbor Township

I am a seasonal camper here at Colonial Meadows and have been for over 30 years. As I was scrolling through the reviews I noticed one talking very negatively about our campground. I really was so sad to read his comments. First Adrienne and Mike are really nice people as with all of us once in a while we can get upset at things that continue to happen over and over again. For instance this past weekend while enjoying our family time we saw this individual driving very quickly and yelled for him to slow down as did all our friends several times at which point we report him to protect all who are here. We have lots of children here and some of whom are our grandchildren so it is very important that we all follow the speed limit restrictions. When we are asked time and again to slow down it can be frustrating especially for the owners. We love this campground it is quiet and beautiful and Mike and Adrienne have taken on a big responsibility when purchasing this campground 5 years ago. They are doing a great job in making this a friendly and safe environment for all who come to stay. We love having folks come here for long weekends and vacation so please continue to come. This place is a hidden gem! It’s in a great location (so close to the beach), and it has everything you need for a fun family trip! We even had free smores at their campfire when we arrived! We are new campers and had a problem with our RV. Andrew the GM met us on the road, fixed our problem, and personally escorted us back to the campground. Along the way, he gave us so many tips that we really appreciated as a new camping family.I’d describe this campsite as “no frills” but it was certainly clean and well-cared for. For us, Andrew made all the difference. We are going back in two weeks because he made us feel so welcome! At the campfire, we got to meet some of the other camping families and everyone was so nice! They have a beautiful pool and are about to put up a new dog park, too! There is a small store, an arcade, volleyball and a playground, so there’s really something for everyone😊. I have been a seasonal camper here for over 18 years. It has always been geared to families. Lots of wonderful activities on weekends for adults and children. Adriane is a ball of fire and goes out of her way to make everyone feel comfortable and at home. Mike and Adriane have worked very hard over the past five years to improve the campground and are continuing to do that, all while maintaining the emphasis on FAMILY! I noticed a review (Luke Guy) that shed a negative light and I felt the need to respond. Yes, Mike is very serious about safety on this campground. We as campers rely on his enforcement of rules to keep us and our children safe. Campers are made aware at check in that the 5 mile an hour speed limit is strictly enforced. When other campers have to correct those who are driving too fast, you can believe that information gets to Mike and he is on top of that!! Our children’s safety is the most important thing and we appreciate him taking it...
