Camping for a night at Wilderness RV in Robertsdale, AL. We all went #fishing in the ponds. #lovethislifestyle #rvlifefulltime #alabamacampgrounds

Nice place to stay. Park has a pool, gazebo, large clubhouse, 2 ponds, and at night they lock the entrance gate for extra security. Lots of fish to catch too. Must have 12in or larger to keep but they have bass, brim, and catfish plus lots of turtles, frogs, crawdads, and ducks galore. Very nice owners that are straight to the point which I like. They don't deal with any bullshit or cops get called. I've been here for 3 months now and haven't seen any drama or cops having to be called. Very quiet area and it appears that every RV owner has a dog or 2 staying with them. Lots of dog walking takes place here and several well fed beautiful cats stay by the entrance area near the dumpsters. Laid back atmosphere. There are bathrooms with showers available plus a laundry room and an area to grill or clean fish, etc. Internet has been down since we came but road work has been going on and they cut the wrong lines or something like that to cause the issue. Hoping it will start working again soon but Wilderness RV park is Definitely worth the money.

We stopped here for just two nights. My wife said the guy in the office at check-in on a Sunday afternoon was not friendly. Our site was just ok, nothing special, a fhu pull-thru. The water and electric were situated about halfway into the site, but the sewer, covered by just a square patio paver, was way towards the back and was just a hole in the ground, no sewer head or anything. It always feels very unsanitary when we get sites like this having to use just a rubber doughnut to hook up our sewer lines. I called the office to ask about a dump station, which shows on the map but were told they don't have that anymore, that each site has its own sewer. So I had hoped to run just one sewer hose but had to use an extension too. Just more stuff to clean and put away in the morning when we're trying to get an early start. But luckily we had a fairly easy pull-thru with no obstacles to get out. We'd stay here again if passing through, but nothing long term.

This was a place to land with water, sewer and electric but that was about it. I honestly wouldn't waste your money here because there are 3 other parks at the same exit that look much much nicer. To start with, RPI (Resort Parks International) listed their check in hours from 9am-6pm Sun-Saturday. We arrived at 11am on Sunday to check in after 2 long days of travel and there was a sign on the door that said check in was not until 1:30pm. It also said go to spot A4 to visit Jerry if you have issues. So we attempted that and no one was there either. So we finally get checked in. The clubhouse/check In was really old and rundown. There was a pool up front but it was out of season but also looked run down.||We finally get back to our spot and it was a tight one. There was space for the 44 foot 5th wheel and the truck parked sideways and the car had to be on the road and on top of the truck. We get parked and take a walk around and the park was extremely run down. There were tons of really really old campers with torn up awnings and junk and trash all around the campers. There were old campers parked in the grass near a shed with some more junk and a huge pile of garbage bags full of leaves or pine needles. There aws a super strange spot in the back near E9 where someone had used plastic bottles and all kind of other junk to make their super weird walking path through the woods. Very very old and trashy.||People were speeding through the park super fast back by our spots which was super frustrating and annoying having dogs and kids. I think a lot of the people here live here full time. Also their Propane was $7 per gallon!!!!! Which is absolutely insane! - I recommend driving 15 minutes down the road for closer to $3 per gallon propane at Bloosman Propane Gas and Appliance (Robertsdale, AL)||I was super annoyed at the owner/management - he came by in his car to tell us that we needed to move our car out of the empty spot and that we were not supposed to have a dog fence and it needs moved. That was not disclosed to us upon arrival and check in and honestly I think its ridiculous that I am not allowed to have a dog fence out but the amount of trash and junk laying around the park is ok. I gave it a 3 for value but ONLY because we are RPI members and only paid $10 per night. I would not pay more than that to stay here. We camped at Wilderness RV Park in...

I have not stayed at this RV park, I only walked through it one day when I was out for a walk. It is about a mile and a half from the exit of the highway, so it is convenient in that manner, but it is really out there a little bit, I do not believe you would hear the highway. There are many trees and the units for the most part are slightly staggered so that you are not just looking at the back side of someone else's rig. It is not laid out like a chessboard, but rather the roads Meander around. There is a small pond in the center. There is an inground pool that I would estimate to be about 16 by 24 ft and I believe it was 3 ft deep at one end and six feet deep at the other, and next to the pool was a covered... IDK what you call it. Cabana? No, but a 20 by 40 foot structure that has a roof but no side walls. Like a carport but for people to sit in while they are at the pool, lol. Whatever that is. I did notice there is a great big cell tower right near the park, I don't know if that has an impact on Communications. There are bathrooms and they were nicely tiled with showers and toilet facilities there. Also there was a laundry room although there were only two washing machines and two dryers and there were two steps to get up to the laundry area. I can't remember if any of the roads were paved, I kind of think none of them were, which would stay in line with that more...

This is a very nice, clean and quiet park. I met George, the owner at check in both times. What a wonderful, pleasant nice person to talk to. Very down to earth. He offered free goodies in the clubhouse. Thank you so much!. The sites are average to small in width. There is no cable TV but you are so close to Mobile that we had 35 TV stations just using our TV antenna. There are 2 very nice, large fish ponds in the park as well. The shower and bathrooms are very clean, ceramic tile. Great water pressure in the showers and the shower stall itself is very large. The only negative I have about the shower stalls is there is not enough room to change, you have about 11" from the curtain to the shower curtain, and not enough hooks for your clothes. There is a very large swimming pool but it was not open yet as we stayed March 21st and April 1st 2019. The people in the park all seem very polite and pleasant. I have a nice talk with Al, our RV neighbor. This park is close to Mobile so if you are planning on going to the USS Alabama memorial or other things you are very close. The price is great using Passport America to stay at this park, which is very clean. George does a great job maintaining this 30 + acre park. I would recommend...
