Zenfulcove — Hotel in Elgin

Our family stayed here this week for a Christmas surprise to our kids and we loved it! We live north of Austin so this was a perfect little "staycation" with us being home for the holidays. It is located just past of Elgin in the woods about 45 min away from us.

Probably the coolest part was the kids playing with the echoing sounds of the round rooms!

Even though the weather was crappy for us we were still able to squeeze in plenty of fishing. Since this a catch and release small pond there was plenty of action on both the poles and the little catch nets we put out for our youngest to see!

Even better was that the owners were flexible with us when the one we booked was not on the water and let us move to the only one that was available!

A couple of tips for others visiting: (we ended up at the Fairy House)

Sky Castle and The Fairy House are the only two on the water and worth it if you like to fish or have access to a boat. The other units we saw when walking around did have plenty of nature and trails around them & are a short walk to the water.

Sky Castle is the only one with the canoe and two kayaks. The Fairy House has a peddle boat. Not sure of toys available at the other houses but I'm sure there are plenty!

Our unit did not have an oven. We had prepared for a day & a half of glamping so we assumed frozen pizzas and other frozen meals would have been quick and easy. However, they do have pots and pans with plenty of other dishes! The wife defrosted the pizza in the microwave and used one of the round pans to finish off the pizza so not all was lost with the kids!

For those new to the area, this is only a 9 min drive to pretty decent TexMex (Morelia's) if you don't want to cook at "home" and only about 12 minutes away from some pretty famous BBQ.

Not bad for a small town getaway for a town not know for...

Beautiful, serene picturesque place to relax and get lost in nature with all the comfort... its indeed a zenful cove, just apt as the name. Planned a birthday surprise at the Fairy house and it was a perfect choice for our family to enjoy the views of the teal blue pond with 2 decks that were great with shady trees which was well planned to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Loved every detail that was thought through to make the stay memorable with beautiful fairy theme, 2 decks, cute lil treehouse kind of upper decks, sauna, barbeque, firepit to enjoy the evening and the comfort of feeling at home with beautifully crafted rooms all equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. They also had indoor and outdoor games, walking trails and a peaceful atmosphere to get off from the busy life and lost in nature.The fairy theme is so cute bringing the garden to life. The owners are very sweet, responsive and thoughtful providing the best they can for a memorable experience. It also has a cute swing to enjoy the pond, a peddle boat or kayak to enjoy the views and the pond. Both the rooms have beautiful views of the pond and feels magical with all the lights lit up at night. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will definitely go back again to experience the other...

The Fairy House was absolutely stunning! It was everything you see in the photos and more🌟

We celebrated my 53rd birthday here and I wanted something intimate. This space did NOT disappoint, starting with the front entrance “happy birthday greeting”💞 it was very clean, beautiful and inspirational for retirement. The host/owners were readily available and you could literally feel their desire for you to have a good time by details of set up. The boat that comes with the home was super fun for my hubby 🤣🥰. My personal favorite was the sauna and side porch watching the sun come up and down. You have to experience it for yourself.

My family and I will be back sooner than later🙌🏼
