The Chalet Retreat — Hotel in Elizabethton

We loved our stay at the retreat. Very clean and peaceful. The only problem we had was the parking. Being handicap and having to park out by the road and walk down the stairs or the driveway was a bit much for the two of us but we did it and enjoyed our stay. Maybe they should make a couple parking places for handicap. The first night we parked up by our cabin. There was no sign saying unloading zone or no parking at the time we parked there. The next morning someone had placed a sign beside our vehicle. This was partly my fault as I didn't realize there was an attachment with my e-mail until the morning after we arrived. I apologized and noted that we were handicap. I said "It just made it easier for us (that didn't matter)." We will defiantly go back in the near future we're not going to let something like that stop us. Just hoping they take our suggestion for...

A true place of peace… we celebrated Christmas here and loved the quiet peace this place has. Our whole family unplugged and just spent time with each other. We played games, made good food, and enjoyed time together.

It’s close enough to the city but far enough to get a true TN mountain experience.

The owners, Micky and Nicole are incredibly helpful and friendly. The worked so hard to make our stay perfect for our needs.
