Grantsville Getaway — Hotel in Elk Lick Township

Lori and Jim are wonderful! I met my son & Daughter-in-law, and grand-dogs there for a long weekend March 6-8, 2020. I got there early afternoon and when Lori came to greet me and found out that I wasn't going to eat anything but snacks until the kids arrived around 8:30, she called Jim and he brought me dinner to tide me over. WOW. The cabin was lovely and the heated floors a plus in below freezing weather with 3 beautiful inches of snow. The kids and dogs walked all over following deer trails and blazing their own. We spent many weeks at Jim and Lori's cabin in 2012. The cabin is comfortable with room for 6 or more guests, Nestled in the trees you feel like your deep in the woods but in reality your just a few miles from Grantsville. Cumberland is half hour away as is Deep Creek Lake. If your looking for a place to explore the Western Maryland area this is a beautiful, centrally located place to stay. The Gordon's are great people to deal with and the cabin is very nice. Oh... if your a hunter there is a hunting stand on the property for the guys, and for the ladies hunting for that special bargain, Springs, PA farmers market, is just a few miles...

Stayed 3 nights and will be back! My family rented cabin 1 and the 6 of us had plenty of room to enjoy each other or get space if needed. The cabin has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a bunk room with 4 bunk beds and everything you need for a stay. Had great conversations with Jim, very down to earth.
