DISGUSTING!! We walked into the room, their most expensive room, got settled and sat to relax when we realized the room was covered in bugs. The room was also ice cold. They were masked by the carpet, but when the tile area by the whirlpool tub and the bathroom area had so many bugs. I called the front desk and asked them to come see the condition of the room and he just stood there with his hand on his hip. Didn't seem to even care. I explained that my husband and I would not be staying at this hotel any longer and I need accommodation and a refund for the room so that we could go somewhere else. He said there's nothing I can do bc I booked through a 3rd party. He stood there while we packed up quickly and my husband and I left. He couldn't understand that we did not want another room in their hotel. In the attempt to try and salvage our night we checked into another hotel and I waited to contact The manager this morning. I just got off the phone with a "manager" who also said she couldn't do anything and just continued to make excuses and argue w me. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR PUTTING GUESTS IN A ROOM COVERED IN BUGS! THERE IS NO REASON THAT ROOM SHOULD HAVE BEEN OCCUPIED BY GUESTS WHEN STAFF HADN'T BEEN IN THAT ROOM IN HOPEFULLY AWHILE CONSIDERING THE AMOUNT OF BUGS. I literally only asked for them to refund me the money I payed for that room!! How is that wrong!?!? And why does this company supposedly have no way of helping me? This is the email I received in response to my request for a refund.

Read moreThe hotel is very run down. When we got in the room, I noticed that there were cobwebs on the walls. But not something I was overly concerned with. I took a shower and when I grabbed a towel, I noticed a chunk that looked like a booger on it. I unfolded the entire towel and it looked like a dirty towel that was put back on the rack. Then I noticed boogers on the wall by the bathroom and what looked like dried blood. I was pretty grossed out but the bed seemed clean, so I was okay. When we went to bed, it felt like something was shaking the bed. I turned off the AC to see if that’s what was causing it. But it continued. Never did figure out what was causing the vibrations.
The pool area was nice and the girls had a lot of fun swimming on Friday night. On Saturday, we went to the pool again, but the hot tub was as cold as the pool. My daughter was still enjoying swimming until groups of boys, and their parents and siblings showed up. They were obnoxious, parents weren’t watching the kids. They were hitting people in the “hot” tub with pool noodles. There were 2 small kids who were running around the pool area and both slipped and fell. They were between 2 and 4 years old and in the hot tub without parents. They were splashing me in the face in the hot tub intentionally and the parents did nothing. The mom looked over and saw them doing it and did nothing. There were easily 40 kids in the pool and not behaving safely. My 7 year old daughter who had been looking forward to swimming so much asked to leave because she didn’t feel safe with the boys behaving as they were. Then the parents sat down in the lobby and were extremely loud. I could hear them from my room. The boys were running up and down the hallway when my daughter was trying to sleep at 10 PM but the parents were too busy being loud in the lobby to parent their kids.

They have a nice BIG CLEAN well- Maintained pool and hot tub area(used to me open til midnight, now just 10pm i believe). They have a workout room (yay!), and any elevator!! (All things their sister location does not have/offer) Oh yeah! They have bathtubs (but bring your own rubber cover, i couldn't find a way to plug the drain to fill the tub)- sister location only offers walk in shower with half wall- slightly fancier version of high school shower experience... Elkhorn location has decent breakfast choices, better than you- know- who) but does not always offer hot eggs and sausage, so don't always bet on it. They're fridge door (milk, cream cheese, yogurt, etc) is not always closed fully- thanks other guests- so be aware and please close it thoroughly. Staff is extremely kind and helpful. Lobby is cute with nice sleek black furniture and Cafe height/style seating, or more lounge furniture such as couch and arm chair. Fireplace. Only negatives I've found are that cleaning staff needsto be a little more attentive to detail, especially behind the nightstands, the headboards, and mirrors. The chairs in the rooms look old and stained and I'm afraid to use them ... otherwise always a very pleasant stay!!
Oh! I forgot to mention that they upgraded all their bathroom stuff to Dove product pump...
