The water was the perfect temperature, there was plenty of room to set up a good little spot for a birthday party with ample elbow room. My only complaint would be that there wasn't enough picnic tables. There were groups that came in super super early and snagged 3,4 or even 5 of the picnic tables for their shindigs and with the already limited quantities that was quite frustrating especially since they did this hours before returning to use them. When we got there around noon there were no tables left at all. Luckily one group was nice enough to let us use one that they didn't end up needing (since I was so busy I forgot our folding one). So it all worked out but they really need to add a few more around there since so many people flock there to enjoy the perfect family spot during the summer. The kids enjoyed the park, though watch out for the blackberry plants trying to grow around the edges (ouch on nearly bare feet! Lol) and be careful of the drop off from the sloping cement going into the water. Some spots can be pretty deep for little kiddos and sometimes funny for the older kids/adults who aren't expecting it and almost fall in. Overall it's still a great place to take the family to enjoy a day of water, sunshine, and people. It's fun to watch all the boats and jetskis out having fun on the lake too :-) I'd recommend getting there real early, bringing a BBQ, a cooler of goodies, towels, and some floaties and spend the day having...

We came here for a family reunion and were happy to see family we haven't seen in years. The first night we were all sitting around the camp fire enjoying each other conversation and "Karen" (the camp host) drove her car through the grass to where we were sitting. We were scared she was going to hit our family members and started to yell at us for being so loud. She was shinning the flashlights in our faces and screaming. We told her we will keep it down after that. We followed the rules and kept it quiet the next night. The day after we were playing corn hole during the DAY and four of the staff came to harass us for being so loud. They told us people were complaining about us. We told them it was the day (not even quiet time) and we were just playing games. They told us that didn't matter and threatened to call the sherif on us. So since people were "complaining about us", we wanted to see if it was true or not. We walked around asking other campsites if we were bothering them and they told us were not bothering anyone or being nosy. The camp hosts were making it up that people were complaining about us. The camp hosts came once again and harassed all of us and said they would kick us out. We were following the rules minding our own business. They were discriminating us and constantly harassing us. Don't ever go here. Worst...

Only 1 star because of the location, otherwise it would be zero stars. I went to this campground to reserve a spot for the following week. The lady at the campground(Sarah) informed me that it wasn't necessary, that come Sunday there would be a "mass exodus " of people leaving and plenty of spots available. She said I would save some money and to just come in about 10:30 and she would give us a map of available sites. That sounded great to me. I went home, bought some special items needed so my elderly mom could go camping as well, and started getting our things together for camping. We arrived at the campground as instructed, but nobody was there to help us. A campground worker showed up and said the hosts should be there about 12. We drove around awhile, went back at 12 and still nobody. We drove around the campground looking at spots to get an idea of what we wanted. The host finally showed up 12:45. Went to talk with them about a spot(it was Sarah and another lady). Sarah started talking to me and the other lady cut her off. Tried explaining our situation to the other lady, the earlier mentioned campground worker interjected and said if we didn't wait we wouldn't be getting a site at all. I am appalled at the customer service or lack thereof and I'm even more appalled at the way Sarah was treated by the other...

This day use area is fantastic! There's a covered picnic area that would be perfect for a family reunion, birthday, or other large gatherings (make reservations online prior to event). There are nice bathroom facilities, large lakeside grassy areas with picnic tables in both shady and sunny locatons. There's also a small playground and sand volleyball court. The water level in Fern Ridge reservoir changes, a few summers ago water levels were really low which means murky water. This summer the water level is high, the lake is somewhat clear and it's a perfect temperature for a swim. We love to bring along our floaties, inflatable kayaks, sunscreen and of course life jackets! Pack along some food and you're all set to have a great day! I highly recommend checking to see if there's a presence of blue green algae before letting your dogs, kids, or yourself play in the water! This can kill dogs quickly so it's worth educating yourself and family about this.

Great area to go for some fun and relaxing time at the late. Lots of space so you can find a spot for your family and stay out of a crowd. The lake itself is so warm and pretty. You can find shade or sun. There is also a little playground for kids if they want to take a break from the lake. Lots of grass a well. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 start rather then 4 is because it's a bummer to see so much trash left behind. They have plenty of trash cans so if you're visiting please remember to take time to throw away your trash.

Great campground with lots of privacy in-between campsites. We always reserve two sites - one for me and my tent and the other for my cousin's camper - so at least we have some privacy but this campground it wasn't needed. Lots of trees. With the fire ban in Oregon, I will admit it was a little weird not having a campfire and even stranger with all of us sitting in the complete dark talking...but I found some cool campfire lights on Amazon for our next trip.
