I recently surprised my wife with a weekend stay at Stowe Meadows in Stowe, VT, for her birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! From the moment we arrived, Erich and Caroline made us feel completely welcome. They greeted us warmly with a craft beer and took us on a tour of their beautiful residence, setting the tone for an exceptional stay.
We stayed in the Master Suite, which was absolutely stunning. The room offered serene views of the grounds, complete with a pond and mountains in the background—a truly breathtaking sight, especially in autumn. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the linens were crisp and clean. The room's amenities, including a jacuzzi tub, cozy fireplace, and a private screened-in porch, gave us everything we needed to relax. My wife particularly enjoyed the massage chair, and the steam shower in the bathroom was a luxurious touch. Every corner of the room and lodge was decorated with thought and care, giving it a warm, cozy feel.
Even though there were other guests, the setup provided plenty of privacy, and it was nice to have the option to socialize or simply enjoy each other’s company. Breakfast each morning was delicious—locally sourced and perfectly curated to suit various diets, which we really appreciated.
The location is ideal, close to local hiking trails and only a short drive from downtown Stowe. We had no issues with traffic, so exploring the town was easy and enjoyable. Stowe Meadows strikes the perfect balance between a peaceful Vermont escape and convenient access to the nearby town.
If you’re looking for a memorable, relaxing weekend in Vermont, I highly recommend Stowe Meadows. It was an authentic, delightful B&B experience, and we’re already looking forward...
Read moreI truly do not know where to begin. I tend to forget to leave reviews but Stowe Meadows is something else. Our stay was everything we wished for and more. It’s a traditional B&B experience with special care to every little detail. The cleanliness, privacy, how amazing the bed, bedding, procuring of the soap, in-suite coffee, super soft robes and I can go on and on. I am a light sleeper and slept solid and so incredibly comfortable each night. Breakfast is something you will look forward to and while I was hesitant with “ other strangers “ the conversations and overall morning ambiance was something we looked forward to. Caroline and Erich are so welcoming and we never felt like customers. They treat you like their guests and pour you an extra cup or 2 while you’re not looking. I could go on and on but want you to be surprised by some of their special treats. Every breakfast meal is 5 stars! Thank you so so much Caroline and Erich for sharing your beautiful home with us. You guys are incredibly talented at what you do. Your love, laughter , activity tips, kindness , for each other, your home , your guests and your town was very much appreciated. To the other guests we met. It was a pleasure chatting over breakfast. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We left with joy in our hearts. Such a treat to witness the beauty of Stowe Meadows. With gratitude,...
Read moreThis was the most spectacular stay my fiance and I have ever had! Truly everything about this place is beautiful, intentional, and peaceful. The couple that runs this B&B are so lovely and because we were the only people staying at the property that weekend, upgraded us to the nicest room they offer!! The house itself is spectacular. The decor is grand--the piano, the chairs, the water feature, the wood, the wallpaper--it was perfection. Our room had the most impressive views of the pond a d mountains, too. From there the experience only continued to impress, with breakfast served to us in bed in the CUTEST basket. The eggs were especially delicious and from their own ducks! We had breakfast with them in the dining room as well one morning and it was so special to sit there and talk while they made us more delicious food😆. We also meet their sweet pups and had a wonderful time walking around their beautiful hillside and pond; relaxing on the porch with a glass of wine looking out at the mountains and trees and the sun setting over it all; and using the luxurious steam shower, bathtub, massage chair, double sinks, and window seat that the room offered. They had great recommendations for things to do in the area and we still think back on that stay as one of the best we've...
