If you are ever in Ely Nevada do not stay at this KOA, especially if your a monthly resident, it is a absolute nightmare!! Nefertiti Northam , who is the manager, is very uneducated on how to deal with customers. She enjoys arguing with any and everyone who does not agree with her views or ways. She harassed me and my husband on a daily basis as well as several other families, in total she has run off 21 families in last 6 months, with her harassment and screaming ! She enjoys shaking her finger in your chest or face while arguing with you. She will hide your packages and even go to extent of sending them back to sender, knowing full well you are waiting for them. I cleaned up some dog poop after my dogs and put in the trash, my husband and I went to town for about 10 minutes and when we came back, she had pulled poop out of garbage and put in the bed of my truck...Another couple that had a disagreement with her went to work, and while they were gone, she went into their dogs kennel and dumped out the water and then called animal control and made a false claim that the dogs were abused, in which the dogs got impounded...I watched this happen in absolute horror....these dogs are more spoiled and taken care of than a lot of children I’ve seen.... The owner of the park does nothing to stand behind his customers and does you no good to even contact him, he lets this just continue which in all reality is just getting worse! She does what she wants makes rules as she wants that has nothing to do with KOA corporation, and does not care how it affects people and their daily lives. My husbands job has us traveling all over the U.S. so we stay in alot of RV parks and we have never ever experienced such a nightmare as this one!! The company my husband was working for, has worked in the Ely area for over 30 years and have always referred their new hires to stay here, however since she has taken over, and every single one of the employees that were staying there have been harassed by her, the company will never refer anyone there again. They are sending them all to Elko. From my calculations, she has cost the owner approximately 90 thousand dollars in revenue over the winter, not to mention the dominoe effect it has had on the small town of Ely. So truly do yourself the favor of avoiding this RV park...

Arrived with my prepaid conf # as KOA member gave name to ck in for reserved site and lady could not find me in system at all. Gave conf, my KOA #, showed my cc had been chrgd, went on about 20 to 30 mins. Finally found me and showed I was already ckd in so pulled cc ticket for site 106 and someone else had signed my cc receipt 🤪. What???? Someone with same last name pulling little short TT was in my spot all set up. The man had signed him in as me with my cc but I was staying 1 day and he was staying 3 days! Wow what a mess! Didn’t want to ask him to move so put me in another spot that was suppose to be a long spot for big rigs. Arguing whether to put me in 125 or 126 his spot was 125. I told them I was not unhooking just passing thru. Now I am in a cheaper shorter spot. So went with 126 and gave me $10 credit. Oh and it has patio too like what I prepaid for and pictures show grass. No grass on sites at all! Mud and gravel, my spot was too short but I stayed attached and I was put right out by the noisy Hwy. They said they would shred the cc ticket of mine the other man signed it was right there in front of me. I asked if he was given a receipt with all my info? The man said no but when they reprinted my receipt and I signed it they gave me a receipt! 😮😮😮. Really? It was like a mud stop. It took so long to sign in it was pouring rain and we got soaked hooking up. Worst experience I have ever had cking in anywhere and should of been simple. Now have to watch my cc to be sure I don’t get chrgd his other days. And I would never return here and never recommend such a mixed up place to anyone. They could not even figure out how to fix it. So the other guy got my big spot for lesser price. And did he get 3 days for 1 price???? Then she had the gull to remind me to drive 5 mph thru...

The first night I stayed, I took a 'Tipi". It is beautiful inside, with paintings of birds that show through the light. It is also veey spacious, and the bed is very comfortable and quiet as is the futon. My complaints are that the bed had some sort of brown and yellow stains and dirt all over, which looked as if it could be pet mess. Also, the rug and floor were filthy and really needed to be vacuumed. The teepee I was put in doesnt have a clear area to park, and ao you have to awkwardly walk around and through your neighbors teepee area, and it is not very well landscaped and is dangerous, especially at night. Be aware it is cold at night and you may need more blankets. I asked for a space heater which they provided after hesitation, really because my neighbors told me they had one. The worst part however, is I fell exiting the doorway from my teepee and injured myself so badly I couldnt stand or walk in the morning the next day. Its a bit annoying to have to sigj and initial 10 things about me but have never been warned of the safety issues present at their facility. Because of my injury I decided to take a cabin with inside bathroom for a couple of days to recuperate. They had me stand around for a really long time to get that handled. The staff is friendly and seems to be trying their best. The cabin I rented next is super pricey but also super nice. It is much much cleaner than the teepee and also has a kitchen and bath. I would love to kmow the manufacturer of this...

Nice enough, big KOA just off the highway in Ely, NV. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The park has dirt roads and pads. The restrooms have showers and are very nice. They say they are satellite friendly, but there are quite a few big trees, so if you are using Starlink, check the satellite view of the park on Google Maps to pick a spot with a clear northern view. We forgot to do that, so we ended up with a lot of blockage from our spot. Thankfully we got enough bandwidth out of our cellular router. They are under construction in the front of the property where they are adding more spaces, so there was some construction noise in the mornings. We could hear the highway but nights were quiet. The playground and dog run are nice and grassy. They have a few cabins for rent and a nice tent camping area with grass, picnic tables and shade trees away in a separate section from the RVs, which is nice for tent campers. Tucked away in the back is a small mobile home neighborhood. The camp store was well stocked, and there is a grocery store and Family Dollar down the highway towards town. Views of mountains and sky all around.

We've only passed through Ely to get from point A to point B in the past. This time, we decided to stay and check out the area. What a beautiful area, and this KOA is top-notch. The staff here is amazing and helpful. The store is well stocked. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The sites are very nice. We were in a full hookup, pull-through site with shade, which was welcome due to a few hot days in an early heat wave that took over the west side of the country. They have sites for any size RV and for all your toys, if that's your thing. They also even accommodate your horses! There are some really interesting things to do in Ely too. We took a steam-powered train trip through the Northern Nevada Railway, which was so much fun. We saw the stars and Milky Way at Ward Charcoal Ovens, and we went rockhounding for garnets at Garnet Hill. We enjoyed a few of the small town restaurants, Smash 'n Grab, Economy Drug and Racks were our faves. Also, try Margaritas and Juanita and Chava's Taco Shop for Mexican, JT's Steakhouse, and the Taproot coffee shop. I highly recommend a stay at this KOA and Ely, NV in general.
