I would love to write a great review for this place but unfortunately, I can’t. The property is beautiful. I loved the location and how private everything was. They offer a lot amenities (shuffleboard, tennis courts, basketball court, beach toys) but honestly our room was absolutely awful. It was very musty and had a very strong smell. We thought after the air had been going for a few hours everything would be OK. When we got there it was set on 80° and we lowered it to 65. It never got better. When we woke up, we actually considered checking out. We should have said something to the office at that time but we did not. (I did mention the issue when we checked out on Sunday) We spent the day outside and even bought a few air fresheners to help for Saturday evening. We checked out early on Sunday, eager to get out of the room. ||||As a native Floridian, I’m very familiar with old Florida hotels. I’ve spent a lot of time in Matlacha and in Crystal River where the rooms are very similar but I have never experienced anything like this. This room needs a serious deep cleaning. Every screen has holes in the bottom that has tape covering them up. I was afraid to put any personal belongings in the dresser drawers. There was a lot of dust in this room that has been there for a long time. I think management should check all rooms and consider some deep cleaning.||||They charged a $94 GRAT fee on our bill. I am assuming that means gratuity although I am not sure what for. I am typically the type of hotel guest that leaves cash for housekeeping upon checkout. Certainly not $94 and if that gratuity was for housekeeping, it is truthfully undeserved. I sent an email to management the day after we checked out but no one responded. The entire experience was very...

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Manasota Beach Club, and I cannot say enough good things about our experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this is a special place, steeped in family tradition and generations of dedication. Even though they were dealing with the aftermath of a hurricane, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect.
A special shout-out goes to Buffy, who was the best host we could have asked for. Her kindness and warmth made us feel right at home. She took the time to check in on us and ensure we had everything we needed, despite the challenges the team was facing. Her dedication to the guests truly embodies the spirit of Manasota Beach Club.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the private beach. It’s a hidden gem, filled with beautiful shells and even shark teeth, making every walk along the shore a treasure hunt. The best part is the feeling of having the place to yourself—serene, untouched, and utterly relaxing.
You can feel the history and love that has gone into making Manasota Beach Club what it is today. It’s a place where time slows down, and you can truly unwind. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! We will be back soon Buffy! Thank you to the entire team for making our stay...
Read moreThe Manasota Beach club is one of the most soul satisfying experiences you can have in Florida. I know this because my family has been going there for the past 19 years. Before that, my in laws patents came here. You don’t get that degree of dedication if you aren’t offering a unique experience. If you want flashing lights and mouse and loud music…keep looking because what you want isn’t on MBC’s menu.,The Buffum family is all about the guest experience. This is a family operated “resort” that caters to people who want to jettison the noise, the stress, the pressure. The Manasota Beach Club creates an environment which will allow you to notice the sounds the wind makes, to wonder how Pelicans do that, and synchronize your breathing with the rhythm of the surf. This is a special place run beautifully by special people. Don’t pass this up because it won’t last forever and once this unique environment is gone it will be gone forever. Immerse yourself in the Manasota Beach Club experience, you’ll thank yourself! We’re going to be there in mid March for 2 weeks and we get teary eyed thinking about it…share the passion, share...
