We went for our annual best friends getaway. We rented the two cabins that are on the property. The cabins were perfect, super clean and well stocked with all essential kitchen items, blankets & comforters for the beds (sheets are not included), full coffee maker or a Keurig to choose from, tv, pull out futon, table & chairs. Screened in porch with wooden Adirondack chairs. Perfect for little family's with kids. The kids had fun exploring the woods and swimming in the pool. They had a game truck come in on a Saturday night, but they also have their own game room and playground. Ocean City Boardwalk is about a half hour drive from the campground with delicious food options and games for kids & adults. Wildwood and Cape May is about an hour drive from there as well. Great campground. Lana was super helpful and answered all our questions. I left my pocketbook in the cabin and didn't realize it until I got home. I called Lana right away and she went into the cabin and kept it for me behind the counter at the front desk until my best friend could pick it up for me later that week because my drive was two hours from there. I would definitely go back...
Read moreWe are about to start our 4th season in 2021, and couldn't be more excited to do so. After transient camping at many different campgrounds for several years, we decided to dig in our heels and go with the seasonal plan at Pleasant Valley back in 2017 (took a year off in 2019). Having family ownership makes a big difference, because the staff has a genuine, vested interest in making sure everything is right. Many campgrounds have fallen victim to corporate ownership, and the personal touch is lost. Mick and Lana go out of their way to accommodate everyone's needs. It's truly a home away from home. The pool and hot tub are great, as well as the other amenities like the gym, playground, and arcade/game room. The close proximity to Ocean City NJ beaches and Somers Point is a huge plus. Besides that, the rates are far less expensive than the campgrounds along Rt. 9 in Cape May County, and we're not fighting traffic on the GSP or Rt. 55 to get here. There's no "daily pass" BS with carloads of non-camping strangers coming in to abuse the facilities, either. This seems to be a common theme at most of the other...
Read moreThe two stars are for the clean site and the ONE clean bathroom. ||||We are local to the area and wanted to just unwind and relax and use our travel trailer. Angel called to make reservations and the owner told him to come over and check the place out and pick a sight. We wanted quiet and on the woods as we have an older dog and wanted him to relax as well. He went over WEEKS in advance, pick the sight and paid the deposit.||||The day of check-in we were told our sight was given away. NOT happy. We wound up with a sight that was next to a site with two dogs. One very huge dog was not friendly and tried to get to our dog every time they brought it outside. We did not have a relaxing time at all. ||||There is a curfew for kids to be on their sight at a certain time. Every night a Siren blasts thru he park. So thanks for waking the kid we just got to sleep. ||||We...
