Our family just returned from an incredible week at the Rawah Ranch, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! We really haven’t stopped talking about it… it was truly the BEST family vacation we have ever had! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality by Johnny, the ranch’s General Manager. He gave us an incredible tour of the property and made us feel right at home. In fact, every employee was welcoming and we were treated like family the entire time. ||Accommodations: The cabins were cozy, clean, and well-equipped, offering the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Each morning, we woke up to breathtaking views of the mountains, setting the tone for a day of adventure. We stayed at Flying Horse East cabin and it was perfect for a family of 4. Our housekeepers, Rachel and Jess, were extraordinary. Rachel did turn-down service every night with a beautiful handwritten note and goodies for the kids. They couldn’t wait to get back to the cabin to see what Ms. Rachel left for them. ||Activities: The ranch offered a plethora of activities that kept everyone entertained. Horseback riding through the valley and mountains was a highlight for all of us. The trails were well-maintained, and the wranglers were knowledgeable and friendly, making even the novice riders in our group feel at ease. We also enjoyed fishing, hiking, and the nightly campfires, where we shared stories and roasted marshmallows under the starry sky. We had two activities a day and it was perfect way to explore the ranch. The wranglers also performed in a rodeo one night and it was SO fun!! My kids still talk about it! Every night is a different activity for the whole family to enjoy. We loved it!||Family-Friendly Environment: The ranch catered perfectly to families. Our kids loved the petting zoo and the opportunity to help with daily chores like feeding the animals and churning butter. There were also arts and crafts sessions, nature walks, and scavenger hunts that kept them engaged and excited. Annie Elizabeth was SOOO great with my girls. She checks in every morning to see what activities we had planned for the day as a family and if by chance the kids didn’t want to come or were too little to, she would actively engage with them while we explored. I had ZERO hesitation leaving the kids with her and was able to enjoy my adult time knowing my kids were in good hands. I even got a few naps in!||Dining: The food was exceptional! Every meal was a feast, with hearty, delicious dishes made from fresh, ingredients. I was a little worried because my little ones are picky eaters but Johnny was able to address my concerns with a quick phone call before the trip. I appreciated him taking the time to get to know us and my kids’ likes so the ranch was prepared. The communal dining area was a great place to meet other families and share our adventures. Part of the charm is getting to know the staff, Johnny and the other families who are there for the week. In fact, we have made some friendships that I know will endure. |Staff: The staff at Rawah were outstanding. Their dedication to ensuring we had the best experience possible was evident in everything they did. They were always available to answer questions, provide guidance, and share their love for ranch life. Everyone we encountered was attentive to our needs and flexible to accommodate us at all times. We REALLY enjoyed getting to know everyone. Again, it’s that family vibe that we really appreciated!||Overall Experience: This vacation was everything we hoped for and more. It was a perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and quality family time. We left with our hearts full and plenty of wonderful memories. We can’t wait to return to the Rawah Ranch and would highly recommend it to any family looking for a unique and enriching (UNPLUGGED) vacation experience.||Thank you, Rawah, for an...

Read moreI really enjoyed our stay at Rawah Ranch. Our cabin was cozy and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I loved getting a tray every morning with a pastry and drinks. ||There was a nice variety of activities to do each day. We were there for three days and we went horseback riding twice, learned how to fly fish, tried our hands at archery, axe and knife throwing and shooting. One night they had s'mores at the fire pit and someone with a telescope to show us different things in the sky. There was also a woman who played the guitar. ||For those of you that like to use your phone, forget it. We lost cell service two hours before we arrived and the only place there is wifi is the main lodge. And there is no tv or any kind of internet in your cabin. The main lodge also has snacks and drinks out all day if you need something, which is nice. The food was tasty and made to your diet if you asked. They usually had a treat every evening as well with cocktail hour. ||The staff was super friendly, kind, and always ready to help you out. It was the nicest place I have stayed in a long time in terms of how we were treated by the staff. On our second horseback ride I wanted to try and trot, but we were climbing a mountain trail, so the guide said he would let me trot when we got back in the pasture. I was so happy. ||My only complaint about our stay was the fact that if you didn't have cowboy boots that you had to borrow some to ride the horses. My feet don't fit well in those boots so I had to wear something too big for me and do did my husband and no one was in the barn to help us when we were trying to pick out the boots. I wish that I could have brought something else to wear the would have worked on the ride instead of borrowing shoes that did not fit me. ||I also enjoyed all the animals on the ranch. My husband loves donkeys and there were four free range donkeys that wandered around, so we loved finding them and petting them. They were very sweet. They also had goats and pigs that you could pet and one day a member of the staff was in the enclosure and gave us treats for them. They LOVED it! We had goats climbing all over us and also allowing us to give them hugs. It was so fun. ||I had a wonderful time at the ranch. We were really lucky we could use our points before they switched. The fact that our cabins had no tv or internet made things much more relaxing. I would definitely recommend this ranch to anyone wanting to get away from everything to relax and try some fun activities. There were a few families when we were there and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves, so it's not just...
