I almost want to keep this place all to myself. I tent camped on the lake here in 2023 two times. It was the most relaxing camping I have ever experienced. The owners are great and friendly and so are the neighbors. The lake is stocked with Bass and various other critters. It's not huge but doesn't have to be. It is spring fed and clean. A nice relaxing swim at twilight is just so nice. You should be self sufficient if you tent camp. You get a table and a fire ring. There are clean clean showers and rest rooms at the office and a laundry on site. You are out in the middle of nowhere but Tellico Plains is not too far of a drive for all the items you forget.||You are not far from the various South East Tennessee tourist areas and if you are into the Civil War (the first one) You are a short drive from Chattanooga and North Georgia and all the Battlefields and such. Cell service is thankfully spotty in this area and internet is available only at the office/patio. My little dog Max has not stopped asking me to go back so I am taking him again this summer. You can't go wrong camping here. Tip ask for Bill to deliver you some firewood at a very reasonable price. I hope to...
Read moreThe lake area is lovely in the fall. No camp store. Owner was never seen. Had to call him to get instructions about the shower issue mentioned below. The Bath house needs rubber mats inside the stalls. My son slipped and fell while showering. Thank God nothing broke. He put down an extra towel the next time to keep from slipping again. You need signs in each stall with instructions on how to turn the water handle to get hot water and balance the temperature. My son took a cold shower the first morning. Then we called for instruction. Could have simply put up a sign inside the stall to tell folks. Not as big a campground as expected. The folks camping next to us on right side of Site 5, partied until about 1:30 am. We could hear them talking outside our bedroom window while trying to sleep. The fire pit is awkwardly placed and too close to the gravel road. This is a very hilly area with mostly gravel road. Not much grass area for the dogs at the site. The rest of the area is pretty nice, but we most likely...
Read moreDO NOT LISTEN TO THE ONE STAR REVIEWS THE OWNERS ARE VERY POLITE! The campsite was Beautiful quiet location owners are super friendly and will go out of their way to make sure they can provide the best service they can to you, cleanest bathrooms and showers I’ve ever seen! I’d recommend maybe selling firewood for people to buy, have them use cash app or Apple Pay, put the bundles in front of one of the cameras or use the honor system, not only would it help campers get firewood for their fires but it could be another source of income, instead of campers having to drive all the way to Walmart (20mins) for firewood. Just buy some of find free firewood and resell it for a profit. But still an amazing amazing campsite I recommend 100%. Wifi was enough for necessary items 20-30 Mbps was the speed. Wifi alto reached all the way...
