I wish I could say I stayed there under better circumstances, but it was for a funeral, so I did not get a chance to really enjoy everything the place had to offer. As far as the cabin, I stayed in the Eagles Nest, it was beautiful. Everything was clean and in working order. I did not get to enjoy the hot tub during my stay, but my sister did, and enjoyed it. The master bath had a Jacuzzi Garden Tub that was great after a long drive. I played a couple games of pool with my young nephew, that was a nice addition. There are plenty of activities inside the cabin for families, such as cards and different board games as well as a couple televisions. Even though I give this a 5 star rating, there were a couple things that were notable, but did not detract from the overall experience. First, the king size beds are very high, and not easy to get into if you are shorter. My sister actually had to use a step stool, and I wasn't far behind. Truthfully, they could probably lose about 9"-18" and be perfect. Secondly, the driveway is brutal. Its a 15 degree incline and at the top it "T's". That wouldn't be so bad, but the turn for the driveway is greater than 90 degrees, so I wasn't able to get my truck in there without backing up adjusting a couple of times. On that kind of angle, it feels very sketchy. By the end of my stay, I was driving up the drive and turning the opposite way, away from the cabin and backing down the driveway. It made it much easier. I highly recommend this place, and I hope to return to Tennessee in the future and will certainly have no issues...
Read moreCool place. I liked it a lot. There were a couple things that would have made it nicer. The gas fireplace didn't work. There were no lamps for lighting other than harsh overhead lights. The cabin slept 4 but there was only a small couch and one chair. It would have been uncomfortable for 4 people. It would have been nice if the beds in the loft are double instead of twin. It would have been nice to have a small table near the outlets on the wall in the loft. Things plugged in had to be put on the floor. The bar stools at the kitchen island were uncomfortable. A cushion would have helped that. A luggage rack in the bedroom and loft would help. You either have to use the other bed or the floor. A toilet paper holder on the wall would have been nice. Since there was nothing, you had to set the tp on the sink or back of the toilet. Kinda odd there wasn't one. Be sure to buy paper towels before you get there. There was only one kitchen towel. The porch was really nice. A side table for the chairs would have been nice. The grill is a little charcoal grill like at campgrounds so bring charcoal. Nitpicky maybe but those little things make a difference in rating. But really overall it's a nice place. I would go...
Read moreBeautiful cabin and location! The issue is with the owners and consistent rolling blackouts. Don't bother complaining about no electricity, the owners won't listen to you, and likely will not refund your money. It was our anniversary and our power was out the entire night. I edited this review as I've recently noticed a response from the owner. Rather than apologizing, as you can read below, the owner goes on the attack. Instead of clapping back, how about you just apologize to the customer, dude. A local told us there are frequent rolling blackouts in that area, and yet we were not informed of this prior to booking, nor was the cabin prepared for this either. There were no candles, flashlights nor emergency items. So, the owner told on himself by basically saying "its great to sit in a hottub in the dark and quiet". He obviously knows there are frequent power outages and he doesn't care, nor does he care if his customers complain.
Keep lying and arguing with your customers. Good luck with that...
