Owners are camp hosts and live on site, friendliest people you’d ever want to meet. Also a couple work campers/volunteers who are just as friendly and care about the upkeep of the place. About 12-15 100 foot pull through and equal number of 100 ft back in spots, with plans to double the amount of each. 3 “Glamping Tents” and large grassy area near the bathhouse for tent camping. Several posts set up in grassy area for “hammock camping” (is that a thing now?). Picnic tables and fire pits at each RV spot and in various spots around the tent camping area. Bathhouse with 3 woman’s bathrooms and 3 men’s bathrooms and three shower stalls. I was here 30 days April 10 - May 10 and bathrooms and showers were ALWAYS immaculate.

Each RV space has 50, 30 and 20 amp electric and water hookups. No sewer, but twice a week they come around with honey bucket and empty holding tanks for free. Also if needed, just let them know and they will come to empty your tanks before you check out. This system id even better than sewer hookup, because you don’t even have to mess with dumping. I go out hiking or motorcycling and come back in afternoon and everything has been emptied, they use their own “stinky slinky” so I never had to unpack mine.

RV’s are (were) $45 a night, but they have weekly and monthly rates.

Sundays there is free pancakes around the pool, $1.00 for bacon or sausage.

Saturday movie nights.

The community is great, while I was here there were 3 campground wide bbqs and potlucks.

This was such a great place I came back and am currently staying another 30 days. Wonderful area, Smokey Mountains, Cherokee National Forest, Nantahala’s National Forest, hiking, inner tube floats on the Tellico River, Whitewater Rafting on the Hiwasee or Ocoe Rivers. Great Wood Oven Bakery, Tellico Grains, in Tellico Plsins (4 miles down the road) and world famous Benton’s Meats in Madisonville, with the best bacon and wieners in the world. Right off of Mecca Pike so can be some traffic noise during the day, but quiet and peaceful at night. No light pollution, million stars in the sky you can see the Milky Way here...

In the beginning everything seemed wonderful and perfect. I do have to say the staff are helpful and kind. The things that are nice at Mecca Camp is that they have a pool and bath house but showers were not always operable and had to be repaired often. They offer free WIFI but you cannot get any sort of connection. We even purchased a booster but still no service. This place is not a full hook up as they do not have septic or dumping station. They would go around the camp ground twice a week and manually pump you out and if you needed an extra dump you had to pay for it. So for larger families its not a good idea. A few times we had the water back you our bathtub waiting for next dump day and it was stinky and gross to have to sleep in close quarters with. They are pet friendly as I have 2 dogs I brought along. I always cleaned up after my dogs but other campers did not. they provided waste buckets and poop bags in hopes campers would clean up after their animals. I think a kind approach would have went a long way instead of assuming people would do it. The things that bothered me most about this camp is that the rules change without any notification. They should be notified via email, text, phone call, hand out, or a plain old conversation. they do not rent was raised without propper 30 day notice and no refunds if you leave early...

My wife and I spent three nights in the large glamping tent and had a great time. The hosts provided towels and a coffee pot with coffee packets! The best parts was the heater and electric blanket for the queen size bed since two of the nights we were there was down into the mid 30's at night and we stayed nice and warm. The tent also had bunk beds for kids and a small fridge to keep things cold. The showers and bathrooms were super clean and the shower was nice and hot. Everyone staying at the camp were great and waved as they went by. There are only a couple of negative things to take note of. The first is the campground Wi-Fi is extremely slow and wouldn't have been an issue for us except that our cell phones carrier didn't serve the Tellico Plains area and our daughter was fixing to give birth in a few days and we had a serious lack of communication with her. The other issue is that there is a very limited number of places to eat in town. Thats not really an issue if you bring food with you and cook over the grill. Overall we had a great stay and the hosts...

Traveling with my boyfriend from Michigan to Florida and this was the PERFECT spot to stop half way to sleep. The communication from the camp is top-tier. I was texting them the day before we arrived / giving updates as unpredictable things can arise on road trips and they were MORE than accommodating and kind in their responses! We reserved the small Glamping tent and it was perfect for what we needed. We arrived at 12AM, they left the lights on for us and made the check in so effortlessly easy it was a blessing for us at that hour. Since we were communicating, they also left the bed heater and the heater in the tent on so it was nice and toasty when we arrived(we stayed on Christmas day)! They left us a super sweet Christmas card with a little treat when we arrived, too! It was such a nice, comforting thing to arrive to and sleep after 9 hours on the road. The showers / bathrooms are so clean and the water pressure and water heat is amazing!!! Thank you so much for housing us for a night, Camp Mecca, it was the saving grace and highlight of our road trip!!

We came to this area to check out places to live. There weren’t many options for campgrounds so landed here out of necessity but we are sure happy we did. The owners, Chris and Julia, are lovely folks who put their heart and soul into running this place. The site was fairly level and very long, fairly close to your neighbors but acceptable. The bathhouse/restroom is adorable and clean but the best part is the water pressure and hot water. We enjoyed an evening at The Porch (a small venue the owners have on property that serves beer) listening to great music (Josh Bearden) and eating delicious low boil seafood from The Crusty Crab food truck. There is water, electricity and a service to come pump out your tanks whenever needed. There is a dog park, playground, pool and picnic area where they will feed you free pancakes on Sunday mornings. We would come back here again in a heartbeat.
