Roaring River Hills Campground and Cabins is an absolute gem! I visited on a solo weekend trip, not knowing quite what to expect, but this place completely exceeded my expectations. The accommodations were fantastic, private, peaceful, and an incredible value for the price.
The host was hands down the friendliest and most accommodating I’ve ever encountered. They truly go above and beyond to make sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. One of the biggest surprises was the bathrooms, spotlessly clean and designed to feel like a personal bathroom rather than the typical campground setup. Honestly, I’ve stayed in mainstream hotels that didn’t match this level of care and quality.
I’ll be returning to this area often, and I can’t wait to bring my family next time. If you’re looking for a relaxing, well-kept, and truly hospitable place to stay near Roaring...
Read moreI was looking for a weekend getaway for a solo camping trip. This campground exceeded my expectations. First, I loved the location. Easy to find and close to the river without all the congestion. The hosts were very responsive and you can tell love the area and what they do. The site was amazing. Very level for either tent camping or RV parking. Restrooms were new and clean! There is a section close by of glamping tents I will be returning to try. During my stay I had family come by and visit and everyone remarked about how nice it was. I could see having a family reunion or friends weekend here. Plenty of space for kids and adults to play games and spread out. Oh and the camp store is great if you forgot something or need to grab a soda or coffee. Will...
Read moreAbsolutely brutal cold night. This is advertised as a winter retreat but the stoves are so finicky they filled our tent with smoke and provided 0 heat after we had fires started multiple times. Staff did bring propane heaters to get us through but the smoke filled tent and cold had us regretting trying them. Firewood is not provided (a small bundle is) as advertised. If you want any fire at all you have to buy more. The bathrooms require a drive from the glamping tents also. Wayyy over marketed and falsely advertised. We did enjoy our time around the fire outside before night fall and it is very peaceful. Just make sure you don’t...
