Great place to ride. Prices are fair and affordable for a weekend. Lots of trails. Facilities are not great. Bathrooms are far from campground. Water is gross and when you're done showering, you smell like metal. No one there to enforce no ride rules after 1200am. People ride way past 2 am around and by campground, even revving motors thru mud holes directly behind campers. Trails and roads not kept up as well as they should be. They do a lot of event weekends and the areas are torn up. We refuse to go during event weekends as they literally allow more people to have their campers in the 30 amp area than they have actual spots, so the fuse boxes shut off and have caught fire. The 30 amp campground needs updating. They have too many electric sites on one fuse box. Also, their electric and water hook ups at the sites are sketchy. They have both hook ups coming out of the same concrete "rock". Also, sites are mostly washed away, so prepare by bringing LOTS of blocks to level and keep your RV from rocking with every movement. Also, if you don't want to smell like metal after showering in your RV, make sure you have a good water filter. Bring water to drink and cook with, don't drink their water...ever. We have been going for over 15 years, and it's been going downhill in quality and maintenance for about 3 years. It's sad because it's a place we've always loved to go and get away for a few days and just have fun riding around. If they'd take some of the money they make from the crowded event weekends and apply it to some night time security that actually does it's job, the upgrades of the 30 amp campground, and fixing the plumbing for water or add a filter for the smell, it would greatly improve the place. Simple business smarts...you put back into your business to improve it, and future customers will be able to enjoy it and Boggs can grow their customers base with customers who appreciate and don't abuse...
Read moreOur recent trip to Boggs & Boulders was definitely an adventure. While the riding and overall atmosphere were great, there were quite a few challenges that affected our stay.
Upon arrival, we discovered that both the air conditioning and refrigerator in our cabin were not working. We reported the issue, and a security guard promptly brought us a replacement window unit. Interestingly, he was thrilled to take the broken one home—as he mentioned it would join the other three he had already repaired and reused for personal use. We even helped him install the new one ourselves.
Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there. There was no hot water in the cabin, and the “bed” was little more than a thin foam pad. After a quick trip to Walmart, we managed to make the space livable for the week, but it certainly wasn’t the comfortable lodging we were expecting.
The fireworks show was underwhelming, with noticeable delays between each launch. It seemed more like an improvised display rather than a show run by a professional pyrotechnic team.
The park has a strong political presence in the gift shop, offering plenty of Trump-supporting merchandise. However, they also enforce a strict no-firearms policy—even removing secured weapons from law enforcement officers’ cabins. That felt like a contradictory and frustrating experience for some guests.
On the positive side, the park itself is beautiful and generally clean. The trails are fun, and the atmosphere is friendly. The shower facilities are very basic but manageable. As for food, only two vendors were on-site during our visit, which might be due to the park offering its own food service.
In summary, while the riding and scenery make this a fun destination, the lodging and amenities left a lot to be desired. With a few improvements, this place could be...
Read moreLet me start by saying, this place has a ton of potential. The trails are great and it’s pretty hard not to have fun riding here. However, we rented a cabin for this past weekend and the whole trip was absolutely ruined due to poor customer service. It started at the front office checking in, when the man at the desk who was taking our payments was confusing and overall argumentative for no reason. Ok, we’ll take it with a grain of salt and move forward. Nothing said. No harm, no foul. Fast forward 12 hours and our group of 7 is ready to shower and head in for the night. One guest with us began taking a shower, and the rest of us walked into the cabin after and it absolutely reeked. The smell was equivalent to methane gas and gave pretty much everyone a headache it was so strong. We contacted security and asked he document, although he claimed to not smell anything. He told us to “leave the door open” (which had been open for an hour at this point). Meanwhile half of our group left and drive 1.5 hours home, because the odor was so unbearable. When my husband mentioned this at check out, the same man who treated us rudely the day before said “we will check on it” without offering a refund or any kind of discount. Paying $150/night for a cabin with a bathroom and not being able to use it is infuriating and of all the times our group of friends has spent time here, we all agreed we would never be back as a result of the terrible service...
