We stayed at this hotel for a cheer competition and booked through the tournament. We woke up to no hot water (1st issue). I attempted to call down to the front desk to notify them and the phone didn’t work (second issue). I used my cellphone and called the lobby and told them we had no hot water. The front desk agent rudely told me it was likely because everyone else in the hotel was taking a shower at the same time (third issue), but she would send someone up to look at it. 10 minutes later the maintenance person came up. He took a look and said he’d be right back to fix it. After 45 minutes it wasn’t fixed yet. I asked if it would be much longer as 5 of us needed to get ready for my daughters cheer competition and we had to leave soon to get her to warmups. He told us it wouldn’t be done anytime soon (something he should have told us in the beginning) so maybe we should ask the front desk to switch our rooms so we can get ready. He radioed down to them and explained we needed another room to get ready in, to which the front desk person gave him an attitude (fourth issue) and said they’d have to figure something out. He sent me down to the lobby to get a new room card. When I got down there the front desk person told me it would be another 10-15 minutes before they could give us another room (fifth issue), which I explained wouldn’t work because we needed to leave so my daughter didn’t miss her teams warmups. She didn’t seem to care and didn’t want to give me a key to a different room, and rudely told me to go back up to our room and wait for them to send someone up (sixth issue). I went back up to the room and waited for them to send someone up. 10 minutes later someone came up and knocked and told us they were moving us across the hall, but that it was being cleaned and it would be a little longer (seventh issue). I told them I didn’t have anymore minutes as we had to be out of the hotel in less than a half hour and none of us were ready, including our cheerleader who needed a shower, full hair, and makeup done. She then proceeded to ask the housekeeper to leave the room so we can get ready. We walked into the room that someone clearly just checked out of. The sheets were ripped off the bed, the comforter was thrown over the desk area, dirty pillows on the sofa, and the bathroom was thrown together so we could use it (eighth issue). This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!! I can’t understand how come in a hotel of 400+ rooms they had no clean...

I have been a loyal Courtyard customer for several years, and I recently had a horrible experience. While out on one of my many business trips with my company, I work the grave yard shift and I do not finish until after 11:00 am. I was staying at one of your locations 5 Cabott Blvd East, Langhorne, PA 19047 and had to extend my stay until Friday March 30th. I had called the front desk and spoke with a young lady who was nice enough to assist me. During the conversation with this lady, I had informed her of my work scheduled and asked if I could have a late check out because I would not get back until later in the morning therefore I would need to rest before I check out. The lady informed me that this was not a problem and asked me how late do I need and said either a one or two pm check out would be fine. Of course I was very pleased because I know I had a two hour drive back home and the extra sleep would help my drive. On Friday March 30th I arrived back to the hotel shortly after 11:20 am, and once I got in my room not even two min the front desk called asking if I will be checking out soon. I replied no I have a late check out is there a problem, his response was he does not see that on my file and I would need to leave in the next 20 min. I can’t stress how disappointed I was and asked to speak with his manager. The manager for this location gave me a call back she also stated the same thing. They did not see a late check out for me and there was nothing that could be done. I informed her that I did speak with someone prior when I extended my stay and requested a late check out. At this point I was exhausted and needed to prepare myself for the long drive home. I finally asked since this was an error on your front desk side with not logging my request is there anything you can do form me? Your managers response was no. To say I was and still am very disappointed hurt and not happy with your company lack of trying to work with me is an understatement. I ended up driving home almost crashed I can say how many times and I only thank god I made it home safe.. I work for a company that customer service is of the up most importance; and this experience was horrible for your company. I will never stay at one of your locations again and also not have any of my employees or staff while out on our business trips book them to stay in...
Read moreDuring check-in we were told breakfast was 6-10:30, what we weren't told was that breakfast was not included. Yes, we should have found this out on our own, but what hotel doesn't include breakfast in 2021? This is one of the few. There was a breakfast bar that was ostensibly a Starbucks (well, they sold SB branded cups) but they didn't accept Starbucks cards or credit cards... only cash or bill to room. What kind of Starbucks only accepts cash or bill to the room? This one.
Almost every time we entered or left during our 2 night stay there were smokers at the main entrance. Please, this is 2021, disallow smoking on the property.
The second floor queen room was clean and appeared recently renovated but overdone. It was a small room with not much space to move. An overstuffed loveseat and ottoman took up too much room (and the long-base loveseat was not comfortable to sit on).
Was surprised there was no wall mounted thermostat. The unit controls were an uncomfortable reach blocked by the desk in front of the ac (which meant sitting at the desk you were directly blown by cold air) . The outlets above the nightstands would not hold a plug (the plug was loose enough to fall out of the outlets on both sides of the bed). The mattress was not very firm, maybe not replaced during the last reno.
The bathroom did not have a powered vent, the result was having the mirror steam covered and unusable after showering.
We would consider one of the other local properties for our next stay, but it appears they are also Marriott branded, with hit or miss reviews. Maybe we'll increase our search area as the only reason we're in the area is for medical appointments at the nearby hospital.
On a last note, when we entered or left, we were not often greeted by staff, who seemed to have more important business to attend to on...
