Hidden Lake Resort — Hotel in Fairmount

We first stayed at Hidden Lake a few weekends ago. From the moment we pulled in we felt at home. Everyone was VERY friendly and welcoming. We had our camper set up and was sitting outside with our grandaughter and EVERYONE that came by stopped to say hi and and to tell us they hoped we enjoyed our stay. If they didn't stop, they at least waved from their golf carts! The sites are nice. The campground is clean and the new owners make sure to it that you've got everything you need. They have a few guys around the campground that do work for them and let me tell you what.....they are right there when you need anything! We have been there every weekend since our first stay. They have added more "weekend sites" and are going to be adding more permanent sites....which we will be partaking in. The "remodeled" bath house is putting it mildly! They are pretty much COMPLETELY new...and look awesome! There has been something going on for the kids and adults every weekend that we have been there so far! Rented the pavilion for a family cook out and get together. Renting the pavilion was $125, which compared to other places was not bad. Especially when the pavilion comes with an abundance amount of tables! They even supplied the garbage cans for our event. To note here: because they handle the trash, they ask that if you bring a charcoal grill, you will have to take whatever used charcoal with you. On top of the $125 to rent the pavilion for the day, it costs each individual $3 to swim and $5 (I believe) to fish. The lake area was decent. Plenty of room to swim. Beach area was clean, water was alright. They had restrooms and showers available at another location near the lake. Bathrooms were clean and even had fancy smelling soap. Overall great experience and we will definitely be renting and swimming at...

This was an enjoyable place before new owners. They allow drunks and drunk perverts masturbate while watching teenage girls and wont throw him out, I know it's because he rents 3 lost and his daughter is a personal friend of Jane Smith the owner. There are no activities for kids. Bathrooms and showers are DISGUSTING! The seasonal campers feel they run the place. Truth is they run off everyone with gossip. I have stayed in some pretty cliquish campgrounds before, but nothing like these people. I feel trahy people for a trashy place. AVOID this campground!!! They recently were inspected by the county and received over 200 violations in Sept 2013. Most for seasonals dumping their tanks on the ground and burning stuff that is meant to...
