Lake Village Lodge — Hotel in Fernan Lake Village

I’ve stayed here twice. Both with negative experiences. First time, I sat in the parking lot for over an hour before someone sent me the code to my door, to get in. Could hear absolutely everything in the room next to me. Second trip, I booked a room with a balcony. The balcony looks over broken down junk cars just below. I also had a strange man coming into my room in the early morning. The hotel claimed it was staff and they didn’t know I was there. He did not look like staff to me. They offered breakfast and a partial refund. I did not receive either. This ruined the entire point of staying there. I booked to sleep in. After a week of silence, I contacted Expedia to see if they applied a credit. Nothing. The hotel was contacted. They gave me $25. This is ridiculous. I was traveling alone and woken up by a strange man coming into my room. How would you feel? I no longer felt safe and left promptly. I’ve canceled all future bookings and will not...

I recently stayed in your Hummingbird room. The unit was very nice and very clean; however, you need to install a shower door. No one wants to wrestle with a shower curtain that 100 other people have been wrestling with.

Also, the driveway, rear parking area, and porch were all completely dark when I arrived. I suggest you invest in some solar landscape lighting for the driveway and maybe some string lights around the parking area. I know your porch lights just needed a timer reset. A sign near the office pointing to the driveway/courtside rooms would be helpful in the dark too.

I was very unhappy with the added $30 fee for "provisions". It makes for deceptive pricing when booking...

Wow, wow and WOW! This amazing little gem is not to be missed. Small, family run establishment that is perfect. Delightful rooms that are quiet, feel very private and comfy, cozy. I could not have been happier staying here. The bed was very comfortable, and I’m picky about beds. I did not want to get out of the shower, it was wonderful. A fridge/freezer combo, “smart” tv and sofa make the room a place I wanted to actually spend time in and enjoy. The balcony off the room provides a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Situated far enough from the city center that you don’t feel surrounded yet close enough to be just minutes away from restaurants and shops. This is the kind of place that just...
