Evidently, if you aren't in good with whomever manages this rv park, you can give up ever getting a decent lot. We were told that you can't reserve specific lots, but were told if you come at 9:30am on the day you have reserved to check in, then you can put your name on any empty lot and come back at check in time with your camper. Well, we did that today. Showed up at 9am. Nobody ever showed up at the office. After 10am the park manager said to just pick a empty lot.Number 17 was vacant so he put our name on an orange cone and said it was ours. Just show up that afternoon and we could pay in the drop box. We got there about 5pm and someone else was in OUR lot. Our cone was moved to the crappiest lot by the dumpster. When my husband called to complain, they just said, oh well, I guess your name wasn't in the book. BALONEY! Our son, who works evening shift, got up early and followed their instructions and we still got screwed. Live and learn. Won't happen again. Plenty of other...
Read moremy wife and i have been here several times it is a very beautiful lake for the location, it could need a very good cleaning but that’s okay , there is only one small place to get in the water or you have to jump over a ledge to get in and just hope you don’t stub your foot on a huge rock. overall it’s not a bad lake, if you like a couple drinks and just generally a good time, this lake is for you. keep in mind that’s there’s only a couple benches to sit near the swimming area though. overall it’s a very nice lake/ place to be for the day. we’ve never been bothered by anyone and the people have always been nice. with the locations it’s in, you only have 2 restaurants which is a jacks and a mexican restaurant. and 2 stores which is the local piggly wiggly and a dollar general and several gas stations and one liquor store, so please keep that in mind. we will continue...
Read moreWhat a great spot for camping! 24 campsites either on water's edge or right across driveway. Sites are full hook up (50 amp, W, S, TV), gravel based for drainage, grill, firepit and most with picnic table. All appear to be level by lack of blocks under other camping RV's. Friendly staff and host; clean restrooms and showers; playground for the kids. About $30 a night....military discounts, too. We arrived Monday after any weekend crowds for 3 nights. Made reservations 3 weeks ago....for the park, but not a particular site. We ultimately chose Site #4, which was open. Park has single road with sites on both sides of road...with cul de sac at end for turning around to exit. Quiet. Very quiet. Currently only 8 sites occupied. We'll be back...
