Neat and tidy campground $28/night w/o electricity. Easy and quick access from highway 101. Adequate AT&T cell service, tho it did drop out about once an hour. Comfortable tree canopy keeps the place comfortable. Sites without electricity are about $28/night. With electricity are about 10 or 12 more per night. Sites vary in size. Some can accommodate 40 to 50 foot rigs, some as short as 25 to 30 foot. The site I chose, the 'driveway' was on the wrong side of the site, so my trailer door was on the opposite side of where the picnic table was positioned. Not a biggie, but something to take note of when choosing a site. Drive in, choose a site that has 'AVAILABLE' on it, then walk the few minutes back to registration to pay. Easy. When I arrived, there were plenty of available spots. I thought it was expensive for what I've seen around Oregon. Maybe that's why there were so many empty spots in the middle of August.

Clean, great locations that have easy access along with good sight lines of the forest from front to back with a feeling of privacy due to many sites with bushes that funnel into your parking space. If you prefer quiet near beach camping with a good forest windbreak this place is amazing in the off season: please note I am not aware of the busy season crowds. Wind really is not much of an issue until you travel outside of the treeline because you are more exposed to the costal conditions. Firewood is at the camp host site for $5 a bundle, many camp sites have good grass cover, and the bathrooms are very clean. All in all a very good place to visit for some camping variety in a bite sized serving when compared to the huge places nearby. Please give me a thumbs up if my review was helpful to you... enjoy the Oregon coast

Overall this campground is great and the staff were helpful and friendly. The large group campsite that we got was pretty awesome with a back area to walk around and even a small creek! The site is large and well maintained and this campsite is pretty close to everything, A Fred Meyer is super close. Highly recommend popping over to Florence for a bite to eat, The Hukilau was pretty amazing! My only issue with the site that takes away 1 star is that the facilities were closed so there were just porta potties and they were pretty full, full enough to make you not want to go in there. For the price i feel like that should be a priority to fix.

I want to say first, that the Group Site (Group Site C) that we reserved was perfect for our family camping trip. We have around 40 people- adults, children and dogs. And this site has been the exact thing our family has been looking for. It was very spacious, a lot of room for the kids to run around, ride bikes, a swimming hole (they played most of the day here). It has a very nice pavilion with electricity, a lot of picnic tables and food prep space. There is a kitchen sink, but it does not drain well. But that can be overlooked for everything else we were getting. Some people in our group had tents, while others brought trailers. I have no issues with the camp site itself. The biggest and most frustrating issue we had was the camp host. On the first night we stayed, a gentleman came around 10:15 and let us know that it was quiet time. We thanked him and he went on his way. Because it was the weekend of the 4th, there were a lot of fireworks going off around us. However, our group did not light off any fireworks due to the policy that was stated that no fireworks were allowed. Sometime after midnight the women camp host came driving into our camp site on the gold cart, she was completely drunk yelling at us, that she was going to call the cops if we continued to let off fireworks. We explained to her that we were not letting them off, and that it was someone else. By the end of that conversation she seemed fine with us and even apologized for coming in like that. The next night, the male camp host came back and once again told us it was quite time, we thanked him, and he moved on. Saturday Night (night of the 4th) at 10 pm, we turned out music way down, and were sitting around the campfire all night. Some people were up late, but not being loud. We had several people in our group that was sleeping and was not bothered by any noise. The women host came back on her gold cart, completely drunk again, yelling about us letting off fireworks. At this point, our group is frustrated, but we let her know again, that we were not letting off any fireworks. She eventually left. The next day, we had a visit from a woman who said she had a complaint from the host, that we were letting off fireworks and that someone in our group physically assaulted her. That never happened. Later in the day, a park ranger and state police officers showed up because the host was filing a complaint with them about the fireworks and that she was physically assaulted. After some back and forth, we agreed that we could finish out our stay if we did not go over to the camp host area (which we never did to begin with). I believe that the camp host was completely out of line on several occasions. One being drunk and coming into our camp site to start arguments. Since was drinking (she was completely drunk, slurring words, could not walk straight) she should not have been the one to come over to address any issues. And she was driving a golf cart, which assume is owned by the Siuslaw National Forest. If she would have ran over a child or anyone because of her recklessness if would have caused a lot of problems for the campground. The other issue is that the park ranger said that the host told them, that she had gotten several complaints from other camp sites that we were being loud, however that was the first time any of us had heard about it. The only issue the host ever brought up was she thought we were lighting off fireworks They also were not cleaning the bathrooms properly or enough. They would come change the garbage and then add water to the dial soup dispenser. At no time did they sweep or mop. Unfortunately, even though the site was perfect for our family, due to the host’s actions we will not ever be returning to this campground. And I will make sure that I tell people about the...

The camp ground itself is great. This review is glfor loop D which is reserved for groups. Although there are a few electrical hookups. There are no threaded faucets to hook a hose to inorder to get water into one's trailer. We were told by the camphost to go to either Honeyman or further north to get water. Slso. Upon arrival the ladies toilets were locked and the men's had no lights. I disturbed the camp host, even though she had an off duty sign in the window of her motor home, to report this problem and was told that loop D had its own manager. Since we were on out was out I asked if she could call him to take care of the problem before it got dark. She said she would. But nothing happened until the next morning. When I saw someone coming toward the restrooms the next morning. I asked if he had gotten a call the night before. He said he had but he was at his other job and was too tired to come after he got home and besides, he had not been told that the site was rentef for that night. It was, however, posted that it was rented by our group Thursday throughSunday. I found the camp host snarkie and her manager less than accommodating. And why I. The world can't there be one faucet for putting water into a rig,? We happened to have driven from Leavenworth Washington that day and did not want the extra weight of water and had no idea what a hassle it was going to be to add it...

Do not book for large groups! We booked a whole loop to accommodate for approx 45 campers, most in which were family units. There were about 45 campers in one site and 6 dogs. We booked it for thursday to Sunday. Obviously this would cost quite a bit. We were constantly harassed by the park managers and rangers past the curfew. Obviously you are up late socializing when you’re camping and it’s hard to keep 10 or more children completely quiet. Friday we got a warning and the next day we multiple warnings one in which they came yelling into our camp at 10:30 at night stating they were going to escalate the situation if we were not completely quiet. 45 voices carry through the woods at night idk what you expect! They stayed several campers were trying to sleep and the kids screaming and yelling were keeping them awake. Meanwhile our youngest campers who were 12 months old were fast asleep. If their layout is poor and other site our affected by where they keep large units then they need to restrict the number of campers per one loop. This is poor planning on their end and we were harassed as result of it. These people are very unorganized and super unfriendly. I would never camp here as a single unit. A women came to check out the site as she wanted to rent it for her large group. We advised her not to and hopefully she...
