We loved this place! This is one of those campgrounds where the owners truly want you to feel welcome and at home. It's not a resort, so don't expect that. But it's one of the best family-owned campgrounds we've ever stayed in. The only thing I'd say is take a look at their virtual video tour on their webpage to choose your site, if you can. None of the sites are terrible, but some of them are not so great. We stayed on the south side of the campground (site 8) and overlooked a meadow. Each site on that row has a wood deck/patio behind the site (in addition to the normal RV site patio) that was great for drinking coffee in the morning and listening to the birds. The staff provides a tour of the campground via a side-by-side UTV. I won't give away the details, but it's pretty interesting. We were fortunate to have been there on a weekend and got the tour from the owner, who is obviously very passionate about owning a campground and providing a great experience for his guests. Again, this is not a resort, but it is a great out-of-the-way campground with good amenities (pool, hot tub, laundry, rec room with LOTS of games, etc.). If you're looking for a quiet, clean campground in this area, you probably can't do any better.

This spot used to be a favorite destination for my brother and me. We'd park our RVs, inviting family and friends for weekend getaways, creating cherished memories. Situated just outside San Antonio, it offered both a getaway vibe and proximity to town for emergencies. However, since my brother's sudden passing in 2023, I hadn't returned. Now, amidst the process of arrangements and seeking normalcy, revisiting our beloved spot with loved ones seemed fitting. Despite new ownership and staff, I hesitantly booked three spots, unsure if it would feel the same. Yet, to my delight, the staff exceeded expectations. Despite some hiccups and late arrivals due to work, they were consistently helpful and welcoming. They even assisted my son and cousins with RV setup in my absence. Their personalized service, remembering names and making genuine connections, stood out. Throughout the weekend, they extended warmth to all guests, unaware of our personal history. Their sincerity reaffirmed the special place Vista Ridge holds in my heart, alongside the bond formed with these three wonderful women. So, to anyone considering a stay, I say go for it. You'll be met with genuine hospitality and create lasting memories.

It’s been a while, but we had the best time at Vista Ridge RV Park at the 15th & 16th of May 2022! We were looking for a last minute stay at a RV Park near San Antonio, Herb and Leslie we’re more than kind and invited us to their RV Park. After we unpacked, Herb showed us around the campsite and told us about all their future plans for the RV Park. We also loved the pool and the clubhouse. After we had a swim we passed the club house and a group of campers insisted to join their BBQ. We had such a great night with the kindest people, good talks, great food and fun games! We also asked if there was a shooting range near the RV park, Herb suggested if we stayed another night, he would arrange a target practise at the campsite the next day. So, we stayed another night. We had a great time at Vista Ridge RV Park, we met the nicest people ( Really, the nicest of our whole roadtrip) We’re still talking about it, and will never forget! Thank you for including us in your camping family! The newly wedded couple from the Netherlands Paul & Lieke

We came in with ADA accessibility needs (wheelchair user), looking for lodging within our budget. This location had three spacious cabins with great discounts for week-long stays. The studio-style cabin is like new, with lovely country decor, making it feel so much like home away from home - the personal touches and ingenious use of recycled material all throughout put a smile to our faces every day. We used our portable ramp for easier entry into the cabin, since there were no ramps installed yet. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating to our accessibility needs, so adjusting some things and getting around were super easy with their help - they went above and beyond to help us at every turn and even installed some things upon learning that it would help us out! Incredible hospitality.

The land is all-around beautiful and slopes down to the river. There are plenty of golf carts one can use to get around - golf cart trails line the river and surrounding woods. There is a large, indoor recreation room located adjacent to the pool and hot tub, where staff regularly host fun gatherings & activities for the entire community - they even have a popcorn machine and regularly dish out snacks for community events... yum! We were there for New Years Eve and the fireworks were epic - we even heard rumor that 4th of July will be a greater sight to see.

Vista Ridge RV Park is in a private area located 25 minutes southeast of San Antonio, with a local town (Floresville) only 20 minutes away. We visited there a few times, got to walk around and look into some of their shops and, overall, liked the old-town feel. There's a good-sized H-E-B and Walmart in town as well, for restocking, etc.

The owners have a great vision for the place, and we look forward to seeing what...

LOVE this RV park! Leslie was very friendly and accommodating. She gave me a brief tour of the park and offered any open space for me to park the rig. I changed my original pull through site to another because my kids prefer grass. I recommend staying in a back in spot, because that area of the park is where the fun is. I was disappointed when Leslie said this wasn't a long term rv park for people with minors (minors can stay up to 28 days). I have 3 boys (under 8) who had a blast playing here. We used the golf cart trail as a bike track. We all really enjoyed the ride next to the river. They jumped in the beautiful pool overlooking a green meadow. 😍 We spent a few hours in the clubhouse playing games with the boys. There are more games than time! I hope more kids get to experience this park because it's truly for the young at heart ❤ This park is a great place for the older crowd too. We arrived on game night and i believe about 20 adults were playing poker. Theres a nice gazebo with a jacuzzi that is separate from the pool area. I really appreciated the coffee and popcorn station too. This is a great location away from the city yet close enough to explore. My husband really enjoyed the speed limit signs around the park too. 😅 We will definitely come back! I suggest y'all book with them if you wanna have a quiet, peaceful, beautiful, and fun time. Thanks for the hospitality...

We stayed at vista Ridge in October 22. We didn’t have an RV but Debbie and Ken the Managers made us really welcome. Herb and Lesley (the owners) put us in one of their 3 beautiful cabins. Every cabin is themed, and each one was thoughtfully designed for the discerning guest. Every little detail works, and the special touches ie (welcome pack etc) make you feel like you’re special.

The site is so well designed, and it’s easy to see how much time and effort the family has put into making it happen. It’s also clear that the improvements are still coming, with more exciting features added each year.

The club house is a terrific venue for customers to enjoy, and it’s amazing to see the trust that the team has, with games and drinks/snacks available all the time during opening hours.

The pool/jacuzzi area is also beyond what we have seen in most other venues, great layout with plenty of seating and space. The availability of golf carts to take the wildlife trails is a great way for people to get about. Sounds like they have some wonderful ideas for the future of the park, and it’s quite unbelievable the excitement and enthusiasm of the owners to improve their park facilities for their customers.

Definitely a RV Park you will want to re-visit. We loved it and the friendly people working there.

All the best for the future Russ and Wendy...
