Rusty Gables Guest Lodge — Hotel in Forest Park

Very pleasant and peaceful experience with two great hosts, Sam and Don. Very close to most main attractions in OKC but yet feels like outside in the country as once you exit I-35 you enter an area of OKC that is not developed but home to small acreages with homes and open land and trees.||Rooms were extremely roomy and exceptionally clean. Hosts Sam and Don were great hosts and I enjoyed visiting with them every morning at breakfast. Sam and Don have been in OKC a long time and we even knew some of the same people as I am from the area. Sam is a veterinarian and had many interesting experiences to make for a good laugh at breakfast.||Sam comes from a family restaurant background and I could smell and see his Italian heritage in the breakfast he prepared each morning. Not your typical bacon and eggs, nothing overly fancy as you see in some B&Bs, but very good and tasty menu items.||The beds and linens were very comfortable and I slept like a baby each night. They have designed the curtains so that you can make the room almost completely dark if you like.||You can tell that Sam and Don put a lot of thought into what they have built here. What a wonderful and relaxing place to be. The inn keepers, Sam & Don, have definitely thought of every detail to make for a relaxing or romantic getaway. The rooms are quite large and very comfortable! The in-room fireplace is such a nice touch and the bathroom is gorgeous! The breakfasts are amazing, Sam is a fabulous chef and has spoiled me on eggs...no one will ever compete! Their main living area is so comfortable (and beautiful) sitting in front of the large fireplace. It won't take long to see how much Sam and Don truly care about their guests. The are both so pleasant and we felt like we just made two new friends! We spent a lot of time in our room since the Coronovirus shut downs were just beginning, but they are located just minutes from many activities and Bricktown. For our anniversary, we wanted to get away to the OKC area. We found this B&B online and fell in love with it! It was perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle of the "city" noise and traffic, yet it was so convenient to all of the "big" attractions once we were ready to enjoy them. We thoroughly enjoyed this little gem of a place and the guys who ran it were so friendly and welcoming, too! The breakfast they served was very tasty, hot, and fresh; it was the perfect way to start each day! We also scheduled massages in our room on the second day and they were so relaxing and delightful that we would have liked to schedule them again, but we had to leave too soon!
