Nestled in the heart of the Sol Duc Rainforest, this campground offers a serene escape into nature's embrace.
The wooden platforms provide a dry and elevated spot for tents, ensuring a comfortable night's rest. The presence of metal chairs by the private fire pit invites cozy evenings spent under the stars, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories with fellow campers.
The amenities, including flush toilets and hot showers add a touch of convenience to the rustic experience. Need a quick change of clothes or a refreshing wash? The small cabin with its shower area, toilet, wash basin, and locker stocked with supplies has got you covered.
Potable water is readily available, although the absence of trash cans means campers need to pack out their waste.
The kitchen, equipped with a gas stove and electrical outlets, offers opportunities for cooking, but the cooking equipment was dirty and needed a good wash. The knives were blunt and were barely useful.
The camp staff adds to the charm, being super helpful and a delight to have around. They even offered a few dry logs to kickstart the fire, enhancing the overall camping experience.
The atmosphere of the campground, with its towering trees draped in moss and whimsical wooden statues, creates a magical ambiance. Nature’s soundtrack is further enriched by the gentle murmur of a very small stream near our site, adding to the tranquil atmosphere of the forest. However, our site 5B’s proximity to road noise detracted from the tranquility, but was manageable.
Overall, Sol Duc Rainforest Retreat Campground provides a quaint and cozy retreat into nature, offering beautiful surroundings, convenient amenities, and...
Read moreStaying here was soooooo much fun. The yurts were equipped with a cot and blow up mattress (full size), a lamp, small table and chair. Depending on the site you book, you could have a little seating area with a fire pit just outside. Each site also has a specific place to park your car so there are no blockages in and out of the community.
They have two kitchens that are fully equipped with a small fridge, stove, some pots, pans, plates, cups and cutlery. Near one of the kitchens are the bathrooms and showers. At the end of your trip, if you are looking to donate items, there are bins in the kitchen areas that will allow you place nonperishable items you don’t need.
The lights in the bathroom didn’t work so bring a flashlight with you, but the showers were fine.
Also, the paths are lined with cute string lights so you don’t get lost in the dark:) However, I would recommend getting here before nightfall. The signs can be difficult to read in the dark- as they are not lit up. There was a group wondering trying to find their site.
There is a designated spot to get wifi and a recreation area with a ping pong table and some games.

Read moreWe arrived Thursday for our 3 night stay at camp 4. Everything was perfect, the tents were cozy and the atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for on our anniversary trip. Thursday and Friday nights were quiet and we got to spend the mornings and evenings enjoying the ambience of the forest. Saturday evening we returned to the camp and found a party and concert going on across from our tent in the rec pavilion. I asked around and myself and the other camping guests were not made aware there would be a concert that went past 11:00pm. Party goers continues to talk until 4:45 am with a fire despite the current fire ban. We booked this place looking for an escape to nature and its soundscape. I didn’t book this wanting to listen to loud music. It really sucks that our entire experience was muddied by one bad night. I don’t understand how something like this is considerate to other guests. If we had been told this would be happening we would have gotten a place somewhere else Saturday night. Thankfully the host responded in the morning and...
