Great state park campground, kind of silly that you have to check in across the street from the campground before heading up the road to your site. We saw a lot of campers have to turn around and head back after reaching the gate with no code to get in. Other than that it was a great stay, a little pricey for a state park, over $80 for 2 nights with no sewer hook up and only a 30amp electric. Also be prepared to spend an additional $5 per car on a parking pass that isn't included in your site fees. We stayed at the Riverside loops, which seemed like larger sites compared to the lakeside loops. Beautiful falls across the street, great looking pool and mini golf could use some love. Probably won't be back, lots of other places for cheaper and the same experience. Be sure to make the drive over to Indian springs State Park, your park pass is good there too, beautiful falls that you can stick your feet into.

This campground is nicely maintained with nice level parking pads. The camp hosts are friendly & helpful. Very pretty wooded campsites. There's no access to the water in the camp area. When we arrived at the camp check in area, we could see part of the falls (see park map), but didn't really get a chance to enjoy it. Best advice: if you do not have some mode of transportation while parked at a site, you must be able to hike fairly long distances to enjoy the whole park. Unfortunately we are older and didn't have any transportation to see the rest of the park. The most we could handle was a short hike to barely see the river (see pic). We were in pull through site #51. Thinking it would be a nice view of water, based on the site map (see pic), but it was all trees. Even if you walk down closer to the water, there's very little to see and too steep to try to get closer.

We stayed at the yurt in the camp ground. I tent camped for many years and I am now to the age that I am over it but yet still love camping. Yurts are an amazing alternative that allows you all the camping greatness but without setting a tent or sleeping on the ground. These yurts even have heating and air so you can enjoy the winter and summer days too. We just stayed mid February in 30° weather and stayed toasty the whole time! They are so clean and cozy and we will for sure be back! My handicapped son had no issues staying here. We had a dock to fish off of and could walk right down to the water. The restrooms and showers stayed supper clean the whole time and the grounds are very well kept. Love love love the area and the falls!

We met friends here for a weekend of camping. We were in sites one and two and they were great. Especially considering our campers are 38 and 43 feet long. These sites were easy to back into. There were other areas of the campground that we didn’t like as much. They weren’t very natural and were close together.

It was really nice that the campground is gated and only people staying there can come in. Cuts down on traffic. You can check in on the phone or go to the trading post to check in. The trading post is on the other side of a main road so checking in on the phone is very convenient.

There is a Dollar General very close by in case you forgot something. The park itself has beautiful falls and lots of hiking trails. We had a...
